In base load continuous power supply is required let's say for 24 hours, In peak load, power required only when the consumption of power is high let's say 4-5 hours Thanks

Sir ,I can't understand ,as you say to avoid the expansion of blades ,we have to do heat the blades of turbine after then we send the superheated steam to blades . What's meaning it. Pls tell me

ENGG JMI actually it is not correct.....i explained you....There are not only one turbine is used to rotate the generator's shaft....there are lots of stages of turbines....like low pressure turbine...high pressure turbine....some time intermediate pressure turbine also used.......when steam is flowing then the steam is expanding in turbine and lose their pressure and you can also say it's temperature......the blades of turbines are capable to bear 1200 degree Celsius temperature with out any expansion.....

hydro plants is like normal dam used for generating power. pumped storage needs an elevated area, where water can be stored in a large amount. For example, a man-made lake on top of a hill. When there is a lot of excess energy from wind/sun, the energy is used to pump the water up to the hill and into the lake. When there is a need of energy, the water stored in the lake will be released from the height and the water will hit the turbine. (this part is analog to the dam plant)
