I’ve been driving around Phoenix for 2 years with this exact problem. I’ve about lost my mind boiling in my car. Didn’t even have to buy a new sensor, just had to mess with it a bit. No words can describe how much I appreciate this video!! Thank you for sharing brother!

Do Nissan Jukes also have these sensors? I'm having a different problem.. my wife's Juke will turn on when the ambient temp is not too hot, but will blow hot air if the car's been sitting in the sun all day on a hot summer day (above 100° F weather). If it sits under shade it will work just fine.. like when at night, even if temps are high it will work without issues. When it blows hot, the compressor cycles on for a 2-3 seconds, during which it blows cooler air and then cycle back off for several seconds, where it again blows luke warm for several seconds (5-10seconds) and does this indefinitely until the sun goes down outside temps decrease or it is parked under the shade for a prolonged period of time (and even this is hit or miss..) Any suggestions are greatly appreciated 🙏🙏🙏

Where is the sensor on a 2015 Rogue? Is it underneath the control panel area?
@TheEpicnor3 жыл бұрын
My 2014 Nissan Rouge all of a sudden started displaying the outside temperature as -30 °F and slowly displaying the true temperature. Ever since this started happening, my AC switches like in the video, and struggles to cool. Now, my AC does not work at all, and it always says the outside temperature is -40 °F outside. If I turn on the heater it gets very hot, even if I try to adjust it to 70 °F it feels like it's blowing at 90 °F. When attempting to replace the front bumper sensor, the ambient temp sensor, I believe, I discovered that the blue cable was completely broken off the connector. I am going to replace the connector and the EVAP sensor and hopefully this solves my problem. Thank you for this video!

Dude! Thank you so much for this video. My AC was cycling on and off, then stopped working intermittently, then stopped all together. (It was blowing, just warm air.) I researched some possible problems, then came across your video. I tried it, since it was the easiest to deal with. I removed the airflow sensor, fiddled with it a bit, and reinstalled. My AC is working now! This saved me countless hours and who knows how much money if I had brought it to the shop. Tip: the airflow sensor is removed by rotating it- it has a keyhole/tab situation. No need to disconnect the wire, in my cases at least. I'll update if it continues to function properly. Thanks again.

@TLL-wk8rq3 жыл бұрын
When it doesn't work again look at your gauge where it tells you the outside temperature if there is no reading or dotted line it's your ambient temperature sensor in the front bumper. Try to disconnect and reconnect if that doesn't work replace it's cheap but get OEM parts
@unitruth3 жыл бұрын
@@TLL-wk8rq thanks for the reply. Yeah I tried it again last night the outside temperature gauge shows a temperature. After about 10 minutes of driving or five or six miles it finally kicked on after I turned it off and on several times. It seems to be what it does now it will eventually come on but only after driving for a few miles. I will take your advice and unplug and then replug a couple of the sensors maybe clean them too if possible
The problem with my car is this: the air conditioner blows cold for a while, then it blows very low without stopping the cold blowing completely. When I turn the air conditioner off for a while and turn it on again, it blows cold again, but after a while the same thing happens again. Could the problem be the evap sensor?
@TLL-wk8rq Жыл бұрын
No I don't think it's evap sensor sorry I don't know, it could be multiple issues from low ac gas to blower issues
@elginplays Жыл бұрын
same here. if i cycle the AC by using the on/off button , everything seems ok. Makes me think its the sensor not detecting the temperature of the evaporator.

Going to try this on my 2015. fiddled with the sensor, took it out, re-installed. Still blowing hot. Have just ordered the $23 part. Of course the dealer wants $2,000 to fix it.
@sharonmenzel77916 ай бұрын
There’s no way he wanted that much money. I was at my dealer in ky today 7/25 24 for the same problem with my 2016 nissan rogue sv . First he checked the car out for codes etc, then couldn’t find the problem. After I told him and showed him this picture and part I wanted the part changed. They ordered the part which was $43.01 and put it on which took only less than a hour and was only $39 for that so they did tell me to keep it on the recirc position when driving so I will. Hopefully it works or I will be getting a new car

Get a small screw driver or small crowbar long enough and go from the front grill. Pop it down its a arrow plastic clip. You might have to break it but your new sensor will have the clip
