The game is historical fiction. Also I look into this claim about the Japanese parliament being upset with Ubisoft's upcoming AC game and nothing you said is accurate. The Japanese ministry isn't doing any form of investigation or even is offended by the game. A reporter named sankei hamada cited concerns about inaccuracies in AC shadows and the Japanese ministry said it's not their cause for concern. Furthermore they also said that a game ( which is historical fiction) shouldn't violate order or morals.

Also, if rumors are correct, Yasuke is not going to be referred as a Samurai in the Japanese version of the game to avoid the same. They already have stopped mentioning him as a Samurai in promotional materials in Japanese. So, yeah, dude. It's clear that Ubisoft is scared and doesn't want any more controversies. And this way they are also agreeing that Yasuke being a Samurai in their game is a complete fiction.

I hate to break it to ya, hun, but we are talking about the modern AAA gaming industry. A majority of people in the USA alone cannot afford to shell out $70 plus tax just to "give it a chance". If modern AAA game developers would like their games to be given a real chance on release at such a hefty price tag, they need to be making something mind-blowing that really captures the audience's attention. No matter how you wanna slice it, this game looks exactly like 50 0ther games I've played in the last 10 years. I respect your opinion on the matter, and I would have shared it until recently. But unfortunately, I can't afford to drop $70 on giving Ubisoft a chance after only recently losing my job. Ubisoft has burned all avenues of trust in their quality and integrity. I've given all of the AC games decent plays and found most of the recent ones lacking. I long for the days of Assassin's Creed 2 again, but we'll probably never get them with Ubisoft sinking faster than the Titanic from internal affairs.

As far as anyone's aware that shouldn't be a problem. Ubisoft basically saw what happened with Star wars outlaws and realized they were going to have to do a 180 with the release of this game. So if it succeeds, it's a pretty clear signal to them that even a company who has horrible relations with the internet at large at this point can still release a successful game as long as they do It in a consumer-friendly way and of course the game has to be good but stranger things have happened. Shadows does actually have some neat looking stuff and I'm definitely curious

Also the declarations that came with Outlaws and the negative points on AC Shadows like blaming all Playerbase for their high expectations or negativity towards Outlaws greedy packs that went beyond $110 or the point when they hired Bots for countering the massive negative comments on AC Shadows trailer videos? There's much to say Ubisoft is not of trust, blaming playerbase for their flops and the expectation to plague games like Valhalla (Nov 10 2020, not that long ago) with Paywall microtransactions. Hell, in 2021 it was voted the most hated video game company by 23 countries...and there's good reason for it. So again, they are at the border right now and barely to none actually have hope to this company, they flopped an Star Wars open world game which was really mediocre, Skulls and Bones flopped too, AC Shadows, after Ubisoft declarations on multiple issues made ppl bag down AC Shadows and common the amount for the game is ridiculous with ALREADY Paywall stuff for 89.99

The only chance of me playing this game, will be when it is actually on par with the standards Fromsoft sets for its games. I know that is a lot to ask, but when they just do blunder after blunder, use a "historical correct black samurai"(yes this person did exist but wasn't a samurai or anything special like that), try to sell their game with memorials of the bombings, and try to release it in the 30th aniversary of one of the worst massacres in modern japanese history. They just need to deliver something truly spectacular to make up for that. (Not like the 100k+ japanese people who signed the petition, care)

It was so not trivial the company knowingly went this direction despite being fully aware it would only hurt sales and come with a big backlash. So then why do it? Who's offsetting that cost enough to make them willing to damage their product and company in such a way just to push this?
