AC Transit # 4058 - 2003 NABI 040.09LFW

AC Transit 4058 on Line NL. Recorded back in 2004 before AC Transit modified the diesel exhaust systems.

For some reason the ISM sounds more beast in a NABI 40LFW than any other bus in my opinion. This beast sounds awesome!

I remember when stayed in Okland when first started getting Nabi 416 40ft buses with the DD50 series and M11 Cummins engine with the Allison transmission. I didnt get a chance to ride on the Low floor buses because I came back to Texas.

Man this bus sounded so much better when it was 1 year old in 2004 vs. when I rode it at 12 years old in 2015. This bus's time is almost up.

Yeap and thats the very reason why I can't wait to visit Miami again.

While the CNG buses has had a significant advantage on emissions standards, todays clean Air or Ulta Low Sulfur diesel buses are quickly catching up with the use of technoligies such as DPFs. For some agencies, CNG Buses cost more to operate and maintain. You get more mpg on a diesel bus versus a CNG bus.
