Truly. No one saw the potential of this game's parkour and stealth at release because it was buried under layers of bugs. Even an experienced player with thousands of hours under their belt still doesnt have this games parkour entirely under control, simply because its far too inconsistent, the parkour is buggy and messy.

It could have been improved in AC: Mirage if they took this game's finished parkour system and tried building upon it, making it more consistent with player intent and adding more tricks and maneuvers, i havent played mirage but from public opinion it seems they built another similar parkour system from the ground up again

Unity had different types of swords, rifles with bayonets, big swords, axes, maces. A wide variety to choose from. Mirage has a sword, that's about it, and it somehow has less takedown animations than the amount there was for single weapon type in Unity. Mirage took the "back to roots" and executes it in an EXTREMELY disappointing way.

Ubi knew they could make more money by releasing it as a full game with the false allure that it has gone back to its original AC formula. LOL Yeah. I absolutely loved the multiplayer aspect of the game, honestly. I’m currently going back through Black Flag. These old Assassin’s Creed games really were (and still are) the better games, over what came after. They destroyed the franchise when they turned them into Witcher wannabes. They had an identity (ba-dum-chh 🥁), a uniqueness to them and they sacrificed all that, just so they could try and compete with something that feels out of place in the AC universe.

Arno was honestly the most dangerous Assassin ever. He's just so smooth and creative with his assassinations. Look at that high profile environmental assassination where he pushed the big guy against the cart and stabbed him. Whereas in rpg trash the enemy's head would have clipped through wall from that running assassination

skill issue, yes, developer skills. the animation team and level designers worked hard, but the people who were supposed to code the movement failed. there is clearly a way to make everything look smooth but the player has to manually do it, rather than code restricting bs moves, or it looks straight out of a cartoon.
