I can't believe what it did to the researcher guy, rest his soul (not a pun about him being south Korean). Goes to show there's still a very primal and very unpredictable element that can never be ruled out.

@jessiejames74927 жыл бұрын
***** they cant . humans cant. I watched this documentary where a group of scientists and mathematicians were asked to learn the symbols and do the same as the chimps in a test. the chimps got it 100 percent all the time. the scientist couldnt do as fast or near as correct...amazing.

jessie james kanzi is a genius among bonobos, he picked up human language faster than any ape I know, even when he wasn’t being taught. Originally when he was a baby, they would have him play while they taught his mother, but she couldn’t rly pick it up. Then one day they asked her to do something, and kanzi(who was like 1.5 years old at the time) did it instead

Also I believe the 'bib' might have been a vest? The baby, Tiko, was just adorable! Do you know if Tiko's Father knows that he is his son (and also what that means), and if so, does he interact with his baby using the board? 😁

You can see Panbanisha walking around at 2:22. In the wild they don't have to go too far in the jungle for food and can borrow from others. The swelling is that size for about 10 days. Apparently they do get scratches and bug bites, though ;P

I'd be fascinated to witness Kanzi and Koko the gorilla and the orangutan and chimps that have all been taught sign language and symbols just to hear what they would say to each other. Even if only via Skype it would give an insight into their minds to communicate with other great apes not just humans. I can't believe this hasn't been done already.

Does learning now translate into future DNA in Binobos. Is knowledge passed to their children?🧐
@hylobateslar41512 жыл бұрын
Knowledge can't transfer through genetics, but they can be taught by their parents. Kanzi originally learned Yerkish (the lexigram language) by watching his adoptive mother being taught.

@DannyOvox311 жыл бұрын
Not all mutations are bad, like @RapidDominance357 explained to you, also people now days have the misconception that we came straight out from the "monkeys" or gorillas, that is not the case, hominids were in a way their unique species, with similar phenotypes to these creatures but we were not the same.

DNA changes/mutations do not produce the better adaptation, they produce changes blindly. The environment decides in place, and time which is a "good" or effective change. Drop a thousand balls on a grid of holes, only one or two are small enough to get through. Multiply by millions or billions if you like the rules the same.
@kanziwamba92935 жыл бұрын
The "environment" is also everything the individual does and the group does, so in a way many factors enter into what takes place, including random mutation of the DNA. However, once a being become conscious of being conscious, many decisions are made by such beings by intent, and not "blindly."
