You know what's weird, armored core was never a popular series, yet these ost's have 200k-*700k views, which is high for an ost. Too bad the earlier games don't garner as much traction, AC2 is probably my favorite game in the series

Armored Core 4 wasn't received very well by anyone but the AC community, for being the first full-online experience through XBL. I remember those times well, I had a NEXT that nobody could copy because I took the time to get S on every mission to max FRS memory. My Core could stay airborne indefinitely while circle strafing. Man, I pissed all those Quadrupedal Laser Rifle Rushers off. AC4A in my opinion, was the best AC since Another Age (The high point in the series) but I'm not sure how well it did financially. Enough to spawn 5 and Verdict Day I guess? But now FromSoftware has enormous Brand Recognition from Dark Souls. Just like Bethesda, you can bet the next Armored Core game will get a huge spike in sales just from the pedigree. I only hope Miyazaki takes the series in a direction closer to AC4A and not closer to AC5 which I personally don't like. (As someone who's been with the Armored Core series literally since the PS1 demodisc)

Hobo Misanthropus In AC4 I built a energy using gunslinger and my weapons was 2 ER-O200S with a missile to back off rushers but damn did I smile when I fucking downed Supplice under a minute and also the missions became easy and fighting other NEXTS was like a field day since I spent upgrade points I think it was on accuracy and also energy capacity and don't be fooled by the small look of the ER-O200S or the energy consumption since it is the Karasawa in disguise being hidden from the cruddy actual one

@@hobomisanthropus2414 You consider another age the high point of the series? Very interesting. If it had an arena I would definitely put it up there. I feel like a lot of the new, interesting parts in the game go untouched without an arena. I would love an overhaul of the series, taking some of the expressive and emotional aspects of 4 and FA and inserting it into the AC2 timeline. I feel like there's a lot of potential to establish some continuity between AC2 and AC3's story as well. I have a lot of ideas for a potential reboot but they'll likely never come to fruition for obvious reasons

Ok an AC movie needs to be made seeing the story fleshed out in a movie with modern effects would be the experience of a life time! And this score so epic like a blend of post punk bass with electronic industrial flare with a delicate piano melody to contrast is just so beautifully done! ItalianoMobzter7 It's more that there's a lot that's left overly vague and ambiguous. Yes, playing on hard mode does clear up some things, but there's a lot that's left pretty much unexplained in the localizations for this game and ACfA. Basically, going on a hunt for information through the wiki is pretty much the only way to get the whole story of the games, because the localizations don't really have the full story.

I liked ACVD, it's a HUGE improvement over ACV. Admittedly it reuses the ACV mechanics and has a lot of the same problems w/ the part selection, but the story is much better and the order missions aren't like fifteen sub-arcs of story that got totally lost in translation. Music's better in ACVD too.

Irisviel High speed? I mean my NEXT is a pure energy user and what makes me unique is that I don't fly but revert power to my hella scary ER-O200S if you try to get close I will have pinpoint accuracy and also easier time firing since my weakness is missiles. I can't dodge cluster missiles since they are bullshit slow that dodging is impossible since it deploys in random times. Also if you keep flying I won't hit you some of the time and with missiles you are pretty much going to fuck me up like GA mercenaries oh god how they just spam missiles

Here is my verdict of ACV too be honest i found it to be decent here are my reasons 1. With the overall new theme of the game and its game-play it worked 2. Online is fun when its a group of your friends so the terriotiy wars are actually fun provided you have at least like 4 people with you 3. The game had good overall parts to it and did not make the game too op with the over weapons being capable of activated multiple times 4. The story, order missions and pvp was cool sub story was good too.

I was terrible at 1-3 because I didn't know how to build my mech (WHY ISNT MY BOOST RECOVERING FAST ENOUGH?!) until I looked at numbers :( then I got good! Still can't beat some of the arena modes. At 4 and 4 answer I'm really good at it because I love the flexability of the boost, I'm like... doing movie scenes. Dashing from side to side. Haven't played 5 yet :(

Am I the only one wondering exactly how big the bullets are for the guns in this game? The Shell casing look like they could be as big as a trash can or small as a fire extinguisher.

The 051ANNR (the right-hand weapon) is 5m long, the shell casings look like they're around 1/2 to 3/4 of a metre in length. I think the rounds are probably 25.4cm across (10in) so there you go.

Lol so true about the back mounted GLaunchers breaking the game. It was my default load out if a mission was too difficult with a less powerful but more fun build. Fuck it, there's always one weapon that's too beast. Karasawa anyone...

The blast radius did get a fairly good nerf though. I remember back in 4 an OGOTO blast could kill a good seven or eight MT's if they were somewhat close together. In FA it seems like they have to nearly be touching each other.

Can confirm. Supplice was a huge menace to ground-based NEXTs in 4 mostly because of the OGOTO's stupidity massive blast radius and amazing blast damage fall-off.

Godammit, when I was like 9 years old I played the PlayStation demo version of armored core. I loved it and was obsessed with beating the wolf. But the game was hard and I wasted my time playing games like "front mission evolved" and oogling other games I would later drop (with only a few notable exceptions.) I should have given this game the chance it deserved from me, even if it was a little hard for Minny me.

ACVD can improve in their characters, music, the fortress boss type missions, the plot is good. Its nice to see its a sequel to ac4 n acfa since u fight spirit of motherwill (half built) and there area from the previous spirit of motherwill body. oh n there should allow more cooler looking parts and make at least a some sort of white glint replica. Its not fair the last boss is the black overpower ver of white glint n u cant make the normal one.
