One should never say, "so look at the cards or in case you think they are in a special stack/order..." Never speak the language of magic to the audience...just allow the spectator on their own see the randomness of the deck. Another example of this...let's suppose the spectator says, "30" is her number...then you don't even need to look at the cards because you know that the 30th card is 10 of Diamonds...then just go ahead and let the spectator shuffle...without even looking at the cards...world class magician Dean Dill taught...never speak in magician-language to your audience. If you do then you are teaching them to think about your secret instead of being wow-ed. All that being said...I love this trick.

Why? It's not an ACAAN.

Since both decks are stacked the same way. You can have the spectator choose either deck to hold.

Great trick. You gave a great idea. If you give the spectator a deck with a Bart Harding stack, you can just hand the spectator the other deck and they can shuffle it without you even having to look at it. No need to to position key cards at all. A really killer trick. Thanks
@ryanhenderson89082 жыл бұрын
Yes, you could. But at that point you could do single deck ACAANS and not bother with a second deck. The beauty of this trick is you do not have to maintain stack knowledge.

The neat thing is if they pick 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 you don't even have to look at the deck before they shuffle it! I LOVE this ACAAN! (I force it different though).

How do you force it?
@ryanhenderson89082 жыл бұрын
@@britishcrackamico Personally, I cut the force card (in this example QH) to the top of the deck (instead of fourth down), then I do a cull force, which I think is one of the better looking ones from a card on top. Example of cull force: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fam8fIGlqs11b7c I'm not really sure why the force in this video was used, maybe for a change of pace, or as "smoke" to cover what's really going on?

You can use any force you like. Cross cut force works just fine. I like to use the Wayne Dobson force from his project "Lucky Card". I use it on one of my other ACAAN's. Thanks for watching.

i notice that in the performence you used another stack from that you used in the explanation . am i right ?
@redfordstack78943 жыл бұрын
Yes, I used my mem stack, but either way works just fine. I used the 10-5 concept for years before I ever learned a mem stack. Thanks for watching Avi.

Find the 10C at the 10th position, eye count 3 cards to the left of it, that will be the 7th card in the stack.

Excellent! Did you come up with this on your own, or can you provide credits as to where it is found or what trick(s) it is based on? (excluding the Simon Prophecy move which most already know). I really like your style while tutoring...not too fast, not too slow. Not a lot of verbal repetition like some I've seen. One small but somewhat critical observation: When you demonstrated spreading the deck and locating the card in the position called for by the spec, you conveniently had the 7H already placed 3 cards from the top of the deck. Why not demo the trick using the same procedure that you tutored? Using a mem deck is quite a bit different than using a rando deck. Just a thought. Thanks for the outstanding CAAN. Will await your reply as to credits/lineage.

Phil, I read the basic concept with the stack as a freebie trick when I was in college around 1998-99. It was on a website that was called Online Visions. Who posted it? I don't remember, too many years ago, but the methodology always stuck with me, as I found it intriguing. I hadn't seen it done in years, so I shared the idea. I used my mem stack, simply because the deck I grabbed was already in stack. It works exactly the same with any random order.
@ppearce432 жыл бұрын
@@redfordstack7894 Thanks. For some reason, this trick grabs me. I've made up the decks, now tonight I give it the wife test. But it's impossible to reverse engineer with the subtleties that you added. Just a matter of performing it correctly. Thank you for sharing with the magic community what I think is a great trick.
