Extension proposal: Have the top be 2 8 3 9. In the end, they can drop either or both of the top cards ontop of the stack where the selection is in the tenth position instead of burying them, So the outcome will be 10, 11 or 12 and the selection will then be at that position.

Another little thing you can add when having the spectators deal the cards at the beginning is to actually have them shuffle as they deal. Once the spectator has put down the first four cards it really doesn't matter what other cards they put, so you can have them shuffle and mix and set down two or three cards at a time, so that the cards are legitimately mixed. Also, while it can be helpful to have four force cards, it's really not necessary. After dealing the cards at the beginning and stopping whenever they want, and then mixing up the other pile, then coming back to the first pile and dealing again, the spectator isn't going to suspect that there's anything really fishy going on, and you can just have them take the two cards they "dealt" to. There really isn't a need for having them bury the card and then take the next one. Just having an 8 and a 2 on top of the deck should be fine.

You could also do it with different numbers besides 8 and 2 (like 7/3 or 6/4) or even something that didn’t add up to 10 if you are asked to perform again or someone in the audience had seen you do the trick previously. Also would help to practice culling different cards and overhand shuffling a different amount for the break

I have a question about the cull. I hold the deck in my right hand so when i spread the cards for a cull, the pips are hidden as they are behind the other cards. Do you have any tips on how to make it easier?
@nsnegi114 жыл бұрын
You can train your mind to read the inverted value in the right bottom corner. A little bit of practice will be enough, then your brain will be used to it. One of my friend had this problem, did the same 👍🏻

Great trick but what happens if they decide not to change either of the top cards in each pile? If you proceed to show them the choices they could have chosen, they'll see the next two cards are also an 8 & 2
@marinechamp12 жыл бұрын
If this happened to me, I would then flip over both piles, making them both face up. Then show a few sums from each pile that way, making sure the bottom 8 & 2 remain hidden under each pile. After 2 or 3 addition examples, square everything up into 1 pile, then continue with the trick.
