I just found your channel and love the content! We are reading through the Bible in a hear and the Exodus chapters were so dry - until I started digging into the materials of the tabernacle and the acacia tree specifically. I've learned some different names like: monkey thorn, fever tree, hardy mimosa and medicinal uses and even about the "sacrificial branch" the tree grows to discard toxins. God is so good. ❤ And can you imagine how much work would have been involved in the creation of the tabernacle and everything to be created and maintained inside??

Hi Mary, this video is well done and took me places I hadn't thought of. I am also interested in creating educational videos specifically about the trees in the Bible. Your video has inspired me to continue with this plan. Thanks for making this. Peace be with you.

Thanks for your comment. Before going ahead with any plan be sure to seek the Lord's guidance through the Word (The Bible) and the multitude of counselors, and prayer. Psalm 119:105, Proverbs 11:14. God bless and keep you!

Is the cross and the crown of thorns made from acacia tree, ma’am????
@johndubler5 ай бұрын
Theories about the type of wood Romans used to make crosses for crucifixion at the time of Jesus vary, (cypress, olive wood, pine, etc.) But this is all speculation. It is more likely that the Romans used whatever wood was redily available. Regarding the crown of thorns, please see our video on that subject in the playlist "Plants, Trees, and Flowers of the Bible."

Mary Dubler I hope you know you have an epic last name lmao no offense it's just one of those words that sound funny on it's own with no deeper meaning implied; no punchline and no allusion, just simply the pronunciation of the word itself. Dubler. Doobler. It's great. It's more than great it's perfect actually. It works for a surname, the name of a tool or utensil (example: "Please pass me the Dubler...no, the metric dubler, no... nevermind I'll get it myself") or a musical instrument (example: "My aunt and uncle started a band, she plays the dulcimer and he plays the dubler.") or best of all it's perfect for one of those nonsense descriptors (example: "Check out that sweet car, it's a real Dubler!") Dubler is truly a good and wholesome word...you can even make an ad hominem (example: "Steve is a nice guy but he csn be a real dubler sometimes.") and it's still funny and wholesome in it's own harmless doobler sort of way. Just wanted to say I love it. Dubler. DOOBLER. No offense intended I just love the onomatopoeia!🤣😜 Thanks for posting about acacia trees!

Rick--your comment is so perfectly hilarious that when we read it together today we dublered up in laughter. Thanks so much for the humorous and most welcome note! "A merry heart does good like a medicine." Prov 17:22. God bless and keep you.
