Once upon a time when Tim was, maybe 11, he got his first sound recording program on our out-of-date computer. One of his first multi-track projects was to record the song "Barbara Ann" in adorable, pre-pubescent 4-part harmony. Tim used his sound program to flip the song backwards, then listened to it enough times that he learned to SING it backwards. It sounded so funny that it became sort of a party trick - "Tim, sing Barbara Ann backwards!" For some reason Tim found that annoying, and before long he had sworn off backwards singing and would snap if we so much as mentioned it. But you know, they say nothing you learn is wasted. #OriginStories

This is absolutely incredible. It's not obvious at first, but recognize the sheer amount of work that went into making this video! He filmed the entire video not just once but 5+ times, each time completing the video in one shot. On top of that, he had to move his mouth in the "reverse" direction so it looked like he was singing the song when the video was reversed! Based on the outro, he must have learned how to speak backwards, a skill showcased recently on Smarter Every Day. Learning this skill takes months, maybe even years! Sir, I don't know how long it took you to produce this, but this is the most dedicated film making I have ever seen. Astonishing.

WHAT?" (Okay, of cause someone could also only sing it backwards for the recording of the pictures and then sing it normal for the recording of the vocals but I suppose that wasn't the case.) I watch the video again. "Still sounds grat. Woah, there are some really low tunes." (Is "low" the right word? I'm no native speaker but you don't say deep for this, do you? "Low" sounds weird, too. Well, you know what I mean, I hope.) "How can it sound so great and clear in language if it was sung backwards???" "I wanna give more than one like..."

And you are even more handsome than when you first started doing this. You make me smile from ear to ear. I LOVE YOUR CREATIVE MIND. I hope you get out of life all that you wish and that success is defined however you dream it to be. Keep doing what you are doing. You are amazeballs.

The more it goes on, the more it sounds like a song about a post apocalyptic chaotic world. Which kinda makes sense.

This video was a lot of fun to watch, but it also reminded me about the inevitability of Heat Death, I don't know how to feel.

So, the quality of the singing is superb, the visuals incredibly executed, and the subject very informative...but I've got to take a moment to appreciate the writing of this song. So many clever rhyme schemes. Absolute delight to go back and read through while listening.

GENIUS!! As a musician I can appreciate the work it took to learn the lyrics backwards and arrange the song; as a video editor I can appreciate the creativity, the planning & execution; and as a visual learner I can simply appreciate the very creative method of explaining the concept. I rarely subscribe to YT channels, but you've got me hooked!

LOL My mom:"Matt, go. Clean. Up. Ur. Room. Now! And never let it be messy again" Me:"Nope. Blame Entropy for making my room so messy, and I cannot know for sure that my room will not be messy ever again, because of the uncertainty principle. SCIENCE SAVED ME" mum:"I shoulda known and never let you learn science"
