I confirm, his name is Gary and he enter in acappella at 16 years old as Bass. I don't know bass who can got lower than acappella's bass. I sing too, and I can't go down as acappella but not far and it's the only song i can't follow in bass. They are the best (for me). excuse my english, I'm french. And you can find this song on the cd Acappella "Live in Paris".

Nice fry. you can tell , but it's nice. Particularly on his last note. Nice B0, though. There are very few that hit this WITH OR WITHOUT fry, but a B0 is a B0. A great example of non-fry is JD Sumner and a few others of us on here though if you'd like to hear the difference in tone and sound.

0:57 The simple recipe for applause is, simple. #1 Get a bass singer #2 Hook up a mic with some mixers and big 10 inch woofers #3 max out the low EQ volume on the mixer on the bass mic #4 Give the mic to the bass singer Were these 4 men completely unplugged in your living room, nuff said.
@sitocolon74608 жыл бұрын
Well actually, I HAVE had these 4 guys singing in my living room, and they STILL sound awesome! Of course, any bass singer will need help with the mixer to balance out with the other singers, but that's normal. You just can't belt it out singing bass like a guy singing one of the other parts... Much love to Nic, Sean, Matt, AND Gary! Miss you guys!

I was thinking "We'll I can sing all of those bass notes" and was singing along just fine. When he did the super low dip at 3:35, no way I can do that, or the last note. I'm a low bass, with the C below bass clef being my lowest on an average day. Those "double basses" as some have called them, blow my mind though.

Accapella's arrangement is very similar to the one sung by the Fairfield Four (with help from the Nashville Bluegrass Band) on their album "Standing in the Safety Zone." Isaac Freeman is the awesome bass in the Fairfield Four. Gray Evans is great on this song and his low end is thrilling. I do believe Isaac Freeman swings a little more freely, but he does have a few years on Gary. I am deeply encouraged to see young people taking up these great old songs and doing them well.

@Megalownote To me it sounds fried, it probably is, who knows. I've seen tons of people on youtube thinking fried notes are the real deal. Maybe I've got it all wrong, but all I can do is listen to the note and say what it sounds like. The B0 here sounds _very_ fried, just like PDK's Eb1 in 'Lay it down', or Sumners C1 in 'Walk that lonesome road'. But then Casey Moo's C1 sounds quite fryish as well, and he swears it's not... I dunno dude, it's a big mess.

Doesn't matter how it's spelled. In the deep South it is pronounced "Jerdan." So the singers are correct. Just as an Englishman once told me about the town of Leicester. It looks like "Lee-sester" but it is more correctly pronounced "Lester."
@Photomagic2615 жыл бұрын
While God does and should get the glory for all we do, singing is also to admonish ONE ANOTHER. Read Collosians 3:16. We sing TO God as well as ABOUT God. Just like we talk to God(prayer) and we talk about God(testify). When we admonish, edify and encourage others with our singing, we give God the glory by obeying his commands.
