Hi, could you please provide times to do each syllabus for the Foundations diploma if I'm studying while working full time? (probably can study around 15h a week incl. weekends)

Hi. Foundation has seven papers. The first two papers, FA1 and MA1, have a rather short syllabus. Total time required to prepare and pass is around 120 to 140 hours each. With 15 hours per week, you can complete in around two months. The other papers, FA2 and MA2, are longer and will take about 160 hours each. With 15 hours per week, you can finish each in three months approximately. Then comes FFA and FMA. These papers have almost 80% syllabus over lap with FA2 and MA2, so it becomes easy after passing FA2 and MA2 The last exam is FBT. Foundation is done through CBE. This means you need to go to a nearest exam Center to take computer based exam. Exam fee is also paid to the CBE center. ACCA website has no options for foundation exam booking or fee payment. All is done by CBD center

Hi. These foundation courses are counted. Once you complete foundation FFA, FMA and FBT you get exemptions from three ACCA equivalent papers which are FA, MA and BT.

Second, there is a possibility that you may be able to start ACCA directly, skipping foundation, as ACCA does allow GCSE A levels completed. Yes you can start from FFA as well and do the other three. However, in order to complete foundation you must pass the first four exams. Out of these four exams FA2 and MA2 are very similar to FFA and FMA. Remaining FA1 and MA1 are very easy.

These are computer based exams and you can take any day of the year or month. This means you can go to exam ahytime, no fixed date. Session based exams (every three montgs) start from ACCA PM onwards.

Hi. No we do not recommend that. It will waste time. Start with ACCA straight. In any case ACCA beginning three papers start from scratch and are enough to build a string foundation.

Hi. If you wish to do ACCA in future, then doing Foundatio Diploma (FIA) will be better as it will give more knowledge to continue ACCA, provide exemptions in future and save time.

Hi. Your question statement we are unable to understand. If you complete foundation seven papers, you get exemptions from first three papers of ACCA professional qualification which are BT MA and FA
