In those days was so hard to land a job in accountancy if not recommended. So i drifted away so far from the profession but the skills and memories remained and always admire an accountant. Good luck to everyone!

@discoboy81693 жыл бұрын
ACA is better for the UK, especially if you work in accountancy firm, otherwise it is will be harder to pass due to requirements. They say that you will be not sitting 2 exams due to AAT lvl 4, but they have additional 2 exams. So no winning at all. ACCA and CIMA are more flexible and free from that concrete reuirements, they also have CBE and home exams now 4 times a year. ACCA is overall qualification having 4-5 routes in accounting, whil CIMA focused on Management and will not allow you to become an auditor.. I don't much about CIMA exams, just seen the books, the theory there are same as in ACCA really. I prefer ACCA due to scope of all specialisms in the accounting and international position. ACA is almost same and as I said more prestigous in the UK, but your experience will mean more really, when you want get a job.

Quick question please? 🙋🏽♂️ I am about to start AAT L4, having completed levels 2 and 3 in the last couple of years. I want to go on and do ACCA/CIMA in the future but there is a considerable amount of material from AAT levels 2 and 3 that I’ve almost forgotten now, as I’ve just moved on after one exam to the next. I’m worried that if I get exemptions for the first part of ACCA, having done the full AAT to level 4, that I’ll struggle with the rest as I haven’t been “refreshed”, so to speak, on the “basics” - the material I would have learnt in the earlier AAT exams such as double entry, payroll journals or extended trial balance. There’s tons to learn for AAT 2 and 3 and there’s no way anyone can remember all of it after passing the exams? Surely?! 😂 Are you to advise please Rachel? Am I overreacting? Thank you 🙏🏻

ACCA isn't a degree. It's a professional qualification and is equivalent to a bachelors degree but isn't a degree in itself. It usually takes 2-3 years if you keep passing in your first tries. Max 4 if you fail in some exams along the way.
@funtube64393 жыл бұрын
@@sbittercookies its actually equivalent to a masters degree and once you have completed the second level (applied skills exams + the ethics modules ) you can get a BSc degree from University of Oxford Brooks. you just have to do a research to get the degree. After completing 3rd level you can apply for a Masters at University of London.
