I hate the fact that nolo lost synchro as its the best looking design next to reverb but i believe it has symbolism because after that he was able to break away from the trauma from the death of his brother. I didnt notice it at first but now after so many years of warching these movies is amazing how much we missed in the moment.

i think this was your best analysis! i‘ve watched the series at least 20 Times and i never realised, the metro realm being more or less a turning point for the teams. the whole rivalry evolving into teamwork.. especially, because everyone knows the other drivers for a while now, knows their skills and driving style. they can now compensate certain weaknesses as a group. great work!
