Nah it was wylde who told gelorum, when Kurt saves him wylde says the drones wanted to know things and doesn’t remember if he talked. Most likely he did talk but his natural rebel attitude and the fact his drone transformation wasn’t complete he probably broke free for a little bit before being knocked unconscious. Maybe also while he was in the process of being transformed he was compliant with the drones. Kinda like Kadeem, while his memories where still there he was brainwashed or programmed into obeying the drones orders

Shirako's music does help him relax and concentrate on his driving. The Junk Realm is concrete evidence that when he and a Racing Drone were side-by-side, Shirako focuses on hitting the Apex to avoid the wrecking balls instead of blocking or getting around the Racing Drone which would allow him to get back ahead of a Drone when it wrecks itself with an oncoming Wrecking Ball. And getting Drone legs for Sparky in the process.

8:03 There is one really cool detail in regard to this - In the junk realm when a sweeper drone gets under his car it triggers a loud alarm. Shirako learned from his cliffside incident and made sure it won't happen again when he rebuilt his car.

Yeah, but the Silencerz encryption sound plays before Shirako tries to speak. You can do a similar thing to all the "brlllzr" we hear from him by accident; if you're in a livestream with someone and you keep the transmission in a very high volume, the noise reduction (if available on your system/microphone) will do the same, although less pronounced. It's so extreme with him because he literally has speakers every 20 centimeters inside the car.

Shirako is like Paul Menard a driver I would hire for his reliability of finishing and finishing well so even if I was to crash out I could at least take a deep breath knowing he's probably gonna finish and at least save the day from being a total failure

Music is the only strength for Shirako. That's why he relaxed and has constant driving. As we can see at Pipeline Realm when Major (?) distract the tunes, he no longer relaxed and feel distracted. When he not relaxed and feel distracted, his driving performance would ruined. According to your video about driver tier list, Shirako will be at C or D tier if he drove without music.

Not only would Shirako most likely noticed the glider drone sooner in the cliffside realm, he was killing it that realm I think he could’ve possibly won.

Shirako has always, IMO, been the most consistent driver and character in the show. Granted this is because he is treated as a side character, but the guy has focus on the level of Vert when his music is playing. I do adore how he doesn't judge anyone in the series though, he doesn't seem to annoy the MM on purpose, just again, enjoying his music with his friends. Even when Kurt destroyed Baseline in the cliff realm, he didn't care - knowing in the end that he'll just build another. Kurt never attempted to kill him, he was attempting to save his life Being the Emcee of the Teku, I believe he was invited to the crew to make music, not drive like they do. However, Shirako has always had that natural instinct. He seems like he's still getting used to the strange outside factors that are thrown at the drivers in the realms, not so much that he is ignorant of them. Granted your point about the silencerz saving his life has great merit - makes me wonder who that silencer was. I believe this is partial to the fact that he didn't have his car. Being a creature of habit, he is the only person to recreate the same car again - at least I believe so. Habit is his thing, just like the music. He's just so used to it that it effects him when he doesn't have it now. Also baseline is the coolest car in the show

Small correction: Vert rebuilt his second car exactly the same after the Swamp Realm. And yeah, even taking that into account, Shirako is the only one who kept the same car all the way through the series, except for the people who didn't lose a car (i.e. Karma and Tork). He must really like the Bassline to keep rebuilding it.

I was always under the impression that the Silencerz were jamming Kurt and Shirako's radios. I never considered his voice was getting drowned out by his music.

Obviously there is no reason for the silencerz to purposely get the humans captured by the drones but there no doubt that the noise in the junk realm was the silencer noise

It was, but listen carefully again. He tries to speak after the Silencerz noise, and you can barely hear anything; most likely the noise reduction on the radio tried to compensate for the music and we only get "brlllzr"

I’m the junk realm to me at least it sounds like it is the silencers who are interfering with the radio. The sound that plays before Shirako tries to tell Kurt that there is a sweeper sounds similar to the sound that plays when the silencer messes with Taro in the pipeline realm. That’s just how I hear it I could be wrong

Honestly no idea. That it what it sounds like to me. After a Kurt days “What was that Shirako?” It quits and you can understand him better. I don’t know why they would do it. The silencers slow the drivers but don’t want them to get captured. But at first it doesn’t sound like Shirako’s music coming through Kurt’s radio. It cuts out so quickly that I don’t think it was intentional. It could’ve also been the junk itself interfering with the radio’s too. The sound coming through is just very garbled and I don’t think it follows with Shirako’s music tastes. Maybe he has a track that sounds like it but it just seems to out there for him.

It could be that the noise reduction of whatever microphone Shirako uses tried to compensate for the ridiculously loud music playing from every speaker in the car and ended up cutting all the sound. If you listen carefully, you don't just hear white noise, it's barely possible to make out a (unintelligible) voice.

Thought of an essay idea. Maybe you could do one about how in World Race, Tezla purposefully brought together drivers from different backgrounds and experiences to search for "a new type of driver". You could talk about how these varied experiences help in driving "When you've driven in a sandstorm in the sahara Banjee... this is nothing." but also in leadership, like for example Vert is the youngblood who is willing to go and try new things like the shortcut or the half pipe trick. Also, Taro is the no nonsense character who will do what he needs to do to get it done, driving through a volcano and making the tough decision to go back for a fellow driver. Kadeem is the honorable leader who brings everyone together because he hates to see people fight. Kurt is the self-serving leader who doesn't trust anyone because he himself is not to be trusted, not a good leader at all. However he arguably provides a bit of inside knowledge about the drones despite the fact he double crosses the drivers. Banjee is focused on improvement and team morale as he is seen going back into the legs of the world race to practice with his team, showing a playful disregard for Tezla's rules.

Tbf, Shirako (or should I say, Fish Milt?) could’ve won by a long shot compared to other drivers, even surpassing Porkchop’s Jack Hammer due to his car being oddly great despite being technically a truck. Meanwhile JM is a car that has AUTOMATIC transmission. ….well, if he actually gives a shit about winning. Moreover, despite the fact that Kurt became distrustful after Metro Realm, Shirako seems to be the only one in his team that is still trusting. Proof? He didn’t get mad about losing his whole car, but completely lost his cool when the same stupid drone tried to hijack his car the 3rd time, ultimately made the car losing 1 speaker.

If this movie continued on, it'd be interesting if Shirako perhaps had to drive or live without music for a while, causing anxiety or something and can't focus or stay calm without music? Or is he so addicted to music because of hidden reasons, that it distracts him from being something greater. He's brilliant but lazy. it wasn't because of his music that he couldn't warn kurt in the junkyard realm it was because of all the scrap metal that they were surrounded by at the time, that's what interfered with the signal u can hear his voice go static and completely cut out a couple of times too.

My headcanon is Shirako is schizophrenic, and the sounds of music and engine is what keeps the voices at bay. That's why he talks little, and always blares music into his ears, because he fears his own voice might be tainted by the voices in his head. But sometimes he interprets team communication as one of these voices, and it really hinders his performance as a driver. Most likely, the voices had him say something unpleasant by accident, and it ruined him in the past.

While most of the time I do agree with you it would have been a better example for you if you use the pipeline realm ramp instead of the racing drone the Drone was tailing him with no way for him to get rid of it eventually it would have hit him because drones have shown themselves to be determined to eliminate other drivers he would have been eliminated by the Drone eventually if it just kept telling him to the end of the realm there would have been a straight that would have given the Drone a clean shot but in the rap situation he did genuinely not pay attention which caused him to get separated from the rest of the drivers cuz he didn't notice the ramp until it was too late and then the junk realm there was too much metal interference in the areashirako and Kurt were in for shirako to talk to him.

I don't think shirako is a goof enough driver to win accelechargers , by all means is a good driver heck he survived 2 dangerous realms (junk and swamp) But if you look close fully all of the drivers who end top 5 and 10 consistently are the og highway 35 gang Heck taro and Bert could won the most accelechargers if they dint get disrupted or avoid the disruptions earlier

but acceleracers wasn't made by Toei, in fact, Toei has no involvement with acceleracers whatsoever, the only ones who can copyright strike acceleracers and world race content is either mattel or mainframe (now called rainmaker), but there's literally the entire movie available on youtube, it doesn't make sense for them to copyright a random guy's video and not the full movies on youtube, also, it's clear that mattel doesn't care about the rights to acceleracers, there's fan games, fan comics, fan films and everything else

Kurt was a proper asshole in World Race, but I think it was Tezla in AcceleRacers. Nolo literally got captured by a sweeper and Tezla cared more about losing the AcceleCharger. Also notice that the EDR only became a thing after Nolo and Porkchop won AcceleChargers.
