it doesn't say this in the anime, but for accelerator to do this, he had to stop the Earth's rotation for five minutes to generate enough energy to move a building and it was enough energy to shatter a planet several times over, which means the windowless building accelerator was trying to destroy was more durable than the planet.

Technically it's not durable AT ALL the building works by vibrating opposing frequencies to cancel out the force of an incoming blow. (With the right pattern a normal jack hammer can harm it as seen in the later novels, until the flaw is patched) It should also be noted that the 5 minutes of rotational energy is enough to lifewipe but not enough to actually destroy the planet.

I should point out in the original light novels the anime is based off he didn't just throw a building he threw a giant concrete slab using the equivalent of minutes worth of the earth's rotational energy. (As in he redirected some of the earth's rotational energy so that they earth SLOWED it's rotation.) Into the strike.

I watched this yesterday with a friend and we both knew he was strong. But when Accelerator lifted that building, she literally covered her mouth with her hand and watched with wide openend eyes. All I could do was laugh seeing his more of his true potential...IT WAS GREAT!!!!! Certainly my favorite character in the series, I hope Funanimation makes an anime series based of the manga A Certain Scientific Accelerator

Do you remember the NT Arc where Accelerator would have mudered Fraulein Kretun because he though she ate Last Order's brain(She still did though, just a copy of it made by little miss Cinderella). I'm guessing the other one to put a stop to Accelerator is Will-chan/The Will of the Misaka Network by severing Accelerator's connection.

And The building that was hit by the building thrown by the Accelelerator has no scratch because it is a different building. It's called a windowless building, probably composed of magic that connects to an "another dimension". In this building lives the creator and president of the city academy, Aleister Crowley the antagonist of the series. Not all the powers of all Espers, including lv5 and Touma's Imagine Breaker, could scratch the building without windows.

He is weaker just not in the traditional sense His power can freely manipulate any vector he touches , so by touching something on the Earth like a building, he can control the momentum of that thing (due to the earth rotation) and by extension the earth rotation itself, in the LN it's explained he converted a part of the Earth's rotation momentum and transformed it into Kinetic momentum onto the building to cause it so travel with an immense speed. His nerf comes in the form of a time-limit on his ability and that fact that his processing power is lower, so the amount of information/vectors he can compute in order to calculate how to vector control is lower than before If you rmbr in index I he used vector control on Last order to erase So Amais virus using bioelectrical signals, he can't do that anymore because he can't compute how to do it

Accelerator and Vento owned this episode. I loved how those bloodthirsty psychos had a great time butchering the red shirts Accelerator may have a soft spot with kids and a cop friend, but that doesn't mean he'll show mercy to those guys, even if they are injured or fleeing. Vento doesn't mind massacring the cops either, although she is a devout christian. Above all, I like how she tells Touma; “"I'm not after your damsels, it's you I want to kill for having your nose in our internal affairs, fucker." It's a refreshing plot twist. For once the villains are not after some random girl that Touma has to save, but rather after him for pissing on their lawn.
