Hi, I couldn't follow the free lessons because of time management. I reside in Sri Lanka +5.30 GMT...I've lived in the West-Midlands between 2009 and 2013, and it was hard to understand the accent spoken in Black Country...I was merely curious about what you had to say about accents. I am an English teacher from Belgium. I taught English in South America and South-East Asia and I often got to hear "whereabouts are you from"...and although my English friend said my English is perfect and that there are hundreds of accents in the UK and that when they ask me where I am from, they probably mean to ask 'where in England I am from". When I speak for a long time I get tongue-tied and do not sound so English anymore, I roll my r's more, then again the Scottish and Irish roll them equally strong.
