Great job on the video, Would have loved to see ho wo get out the remaining large dash top. But this definitely gave me some ideas for where to pass my wifi and gps antennas to stick them on the dash.

How I though the dash trim around the a/c controls came out but didn’t want to break it so appreciate the video 🤙🏼

Great vid Emily, but how do you remove the cigarette lighter? I would like to replace it with dual USB for Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

That’s a rough one. You have to start with the consol by removing the screws inside the bottom of it and work your way to the front with the way the trim wraps around itself.

This is not the same for my 2009 Subaru Impreza. If the car has the mechanical dials for the air conditioning system, it is going to be a decent deal harder to take off the long trim piece. It’s not nearly as simple as unplugging the cords like in this type of system.

I was in the middle of taking this centerpiece out and realizing the same thing. I’m struggling to get it off but we’ll see what I can do.

@@matthewortega5492 Not sure if you figured it out yet, but I think taking out the air conditioning vent outlet might help so you can get at those cables to unhook them. I didn't try that so I'm not sure if it would work, but I might try that when I get back to it.

Did you figure out how to get it off yet
@li4mboy1363 жыл бұрын
@@julienjones823 I gave up for now. I am pretty sure there is a way but I haven't gotten back to it yet. You have to unhook the two cables that are connected to some gears back there I'm pretty sure but I did not try it to see how it works. If you have taken the door panels off and unhooked the interior door latch, I think it looks like a similar connection to that. You need to pop the base of the connection piece off and then you can disconnect the wire. I'm not a mechanic so sorry if the terms I am using don't make any sense, I am sort of making them up. I would suggest that if you want to do it, take out the radio and air conditioning vent first because I think its impossible to even get back there or get a good look without doing that.
