Hello Hadar. Firstly I want to let you know your english lessons are really amazing, and I have learnt a lot from you. Also you help me a lot to improve my listening skills. I enjoy with the human side of all your stories in you relocation diary. I am spanish guy who always have lived in Barcelona, so I've never gone through a relocation. Because of that, all the little details you explain are really interesting. Those details that we don't pay attention when we are used to, but facing them in a new environment, they adquire a special relevance. Things like struggle for not being fluent enough in spanish, facing the "how to" in the spanish health system, the burocracy you had to go over in your early days. Even the simply fact of buying a refrigerator, became a real adventure when someone don't know how the things work in a new country. Personally, I would appreciate you to explain why you chose Barcelona as your new home, and what are the most interesting traditions or places that a foreign highlight from Barcelona and Catalunya. Hope you don't feel like a foreigner anymore in this, your new home. It would be crazy if someday I could see you by chance in the middle of the street, I would say hello to you. I encorage you to go on with your relocation diary.

I relate to the complementarity between you and your husband... I'm the fussy one, always planning things ahead while he remains chill and going with the flow. The beauty of it all, of course, lies in the differences between us...which make us stronger every day. I'm glad you got to connect with each other both here and there!⚘️☀️💯🙏🌼🌈

Hi, I’m new here, from Brazil and I would like to know more about your history: where are you from, what’s your first language, how did you learn English, which countries and cities did you live? I think I’m overwhelming with a lot of questions…. Thanks for teaching us!!!!

I'll go ahead and do it because you asked us . " We took them to the supermarket, and they picked out a few candies they were familiar with to take BACK HOME... It was nice to get back HOME ". I felt happiness hearing you say these phrases. From my point of view, for the girls, HOME should be in Barcelona, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, is their grandparents' house that will forever remain in each of your hearts. You and Gail should be the first to feel that Barcelona is like "at home, our home" Your childhood memories are beautiful, so ignore anyone who dares to criticize you. As for organizing everything down to the smallest details, it depends on how long you'll be staying. I believe you already have the answer, but you didn't want to fully admit to Gail, 'Yes, you were right' :))." Thank you very much for this beautiful series. And I hope with all my heart to be able to meet you in person this summer in Barcelona. Respectfully: Wawa

The concept of “ home” is personal and unique for each person. With all my respects to your point of view, in my opinion others cannot define what should be home for another person. For me hone isn’t not a static/ fixed concept but the moment is changes is determined by the person who experience the change and not others… one day it will come naturally if not, but no need to force. My personal point of view

I don't know if you have children or if you moved to another country with them. When you become a parent, the greatest responsibility is to think and act for their future. It is obvious that for each person it is different and for each experience in part.

@@ioanajitaruij I understand what you are saying, but I personally know several cases, when children that grew up in the other country decided to go back to their birth country after they turned 18, 20, 22 years old. So, it is very personal. For example, for me and my husband, the country, which we relocated to (and this is the third one) became a true home for us, while two previous countries did not. And we never went back to the countries, in which we were born. Everyone is different, and every experience is unique. Hadar and her family are only four months in Barcelona; it is definitely too early to see if this country will be a true home for them for good or if it is their temporary home only, which is also a great experience to have, btw!

You're right. "Los pinchos" are wonderful. In the south we have "las tapas", wich are the same concept, small quantities of food. Enjoy the Spanish cuisine, Hadar, like I en joy your videos. See U next friday.

It is usually always like that when you visit your parents, relatives and friends. This type of vacation is not the same when you go to a new country and spend time there like a tourist. So, it is normal, although very hectic. We experience exactly the same when we visit the country, where our parents, relatives and friends reside. And yes, it is very emotional as well. So, I am totally on the same page with you. And yes, I have to plan; otherwise, we wouldn't be able to see anybody; everyone is always very busy; they aren't on vacation, they have to work and many other things to do daily...

Dear Hadar ♥, I appreciate your diary so much, thank you for your openness and vulnerability, you can't imagine how your words help and heal. I love listening to you and learning from you not only about English but about life. ♥ Btw if you're asking, I plan, but on the other hand I'm more like Gill, I think so many things going on would kill me. 🙂

Thank you for sharing your experience Hadar! I think that most of the immigrants would like to visit the maximum of their beloved ones when they travel back to their own country. But this bring frustration to them and to the people they visit too, because of the lack of time to do something together. ( I can observe that with my brother and my daughter who immigrated years ago...)Just sharing meals all along the week is a little bit weird... Maybe the girls enjoyed that more than you and your partner? And here is my question : How did you prepare your children for that relocation? How did you motivate them? Did they get some opportunities for helping them to be more familiar with the langage and the culture before you moved? Congrats for your adventurous way of life!😉😄
