I have worked in service based companies for 6 straight years. in the last 3 years my profile was into coding and believe me I used to work almost 10+ hours everyday because of the huge work and deadlines.. I never got a chance to work for 2 hours in a day because of huge micro management from the scrum masters. We used to write down what we have done for the day and how much time it took to complete a specific task with testing screenshots in the excel sheets so that it will be reviewed by managers by tallying it with Jira/Rally/Azure ticket board

This video was really motivating. I'm working at a service based company for the past 3 years as a Devops Engineer and looking for a switch to a product based company for SDE roles but faced rejections and was feeling low. I'm a 23 year old student in my final year of a BTech in Computer Engineering. There are currently placement drives happening on my campus, but I'm not confident I'll be able to clear the aptitude tests and make it to the technical/coding rounds. I have three different perspectives from friends on what I should do after graduation: 1. Get work experience first - it's more important than any degree (said by a friend in the Czech Republic) 2. There's not a huge salary difference if you get an MTech or not - focus on working (said by a front end developer friend in Bangalore) 3. Prepare for GATE and qualify for an MTech at an IIT to get a high paying job (said by a friend doing a PhD at IIT Gandhinagar ) I'm feeling confused about what path to take. My gut agrees most with options 1 and 2, but I'm not fully convinced. Does anyone have advice on whether I should focus on getting work experience first or pursuing higher education? What factors should I consider in making this decision? Any input is appreciated!
