This is the only tutorial I found that worked. I could find other ways to auto populate the form fields, but the auto populated fields don't get entered into the table. But this works like a charm. Thank you!

In case anyone stumbles on this with the can't update autonumber issue, it's because he doesn't explain that the EmpID field in the training table can't be of type autonumber(you can't change an autonumber field). You would need to make the training table have a different primary key(like TrainingID) and make the EmpID in the training table a foreign key
