It worked by letting phpMyAdmin log in, but now I don't see my existing database in phpMyAdmin or from MySQL Workbench. Work bench kicked up error at log in about limited access. Any ideas to why?

This only gets us halfway there. It doesn't explain why we had login issues to begin with, how to correct whatever went wrong, and/or how to move forward being able to remove that "skip" command. Now it has to be there permanently, and I guess we just shrug it off?

Hello Civil, that's correct, the video doesn't show why we get this error. Most people just want to know how to fix it. Anyhow, this is what MySQL help section suggests: ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) It means a root password has already been assigned during installation and it has to be supplied. See Section 2.10.4, “Securing the Initial MySQL Account” dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/default-privileges.html on the different ways the password could have been assigned and, in some cases, how to find it. If you need to reset the root password, see instructions in Section B.4.3.2, “How to Reset the Root Password” dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/resetting-permissions.html After you have found or reset your password, log on again as root using the --password (or -p) option: More insights can be found here dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/problems-connecting.html

Sounds like an issue on the online web server user accounts. Did you create a user ATTACHED to the Database? If not do so, if so, then, make sure you double check *database user privileges* let us know the outcome please

As long as you can access the core files, you can fix it. But I am certain that you can NOT access core files on shared hosting. The fact is, you should be able to just create your database without issues on shared hosting (I would contact the web hosting service provider)

*you do not have privileges to manipulate with the users* honestly I don't know what this is, never seen it before, but, for some reason its to do with privileges for the users, but the image you sent me suggests that ALL users in your account HAS ALL privileges. I would read through this github.com/phpmyadmin/phpmyadmin/issues/14433 as it seems others found solutions (towards the end of the page as well). Please do let us know the cause and solution when you fix it
