The passion of boondocking is discussed by those who love the sport. There is an immediate need for the community to band together and become more educated about how our public access is being jeopardized and what we can do to unify our voice.

Really good message! As a hunter and snowmobiler I care very much about our public lands and who has control over them. In times like this where things are changing very rapidly I feel it's very important that voices are heard and that money is spent! The last thing the Western States need is eastern policy makers deciding for us what we can and can't do on our public lands. No one knows them like us so it only makes sense that WE be the stewards of them.

if mt jefferson area ever gets closed i would loose all hope for the west. im from va. for god sakes!! been snowmobiling out west for 17 years. montana idaho and wyoming. even though im 50 now its my FAVORITE vacation every year!! now talking to cody clark skiers and snowmobiliers in cooke city have a happy marriage they pull them up and they ski down. i understand in ski areas snowmobiles arent wanted. i get that leave them be. we dont ride in their areas.

Please sign up for Blue Ribbon, ISSA, etc. It's a couple bucks, and extremely important to keep access open.

And where are there skier and sleders “bonding together” exactly. Because up where I’m at in Montana. The skiers are actually the ones pushing to close out sleds. I’m not talking on trials. Mountains lady and gents. It’s a fact. They don’t want sleds up in “their” areas because that means less fresh tracks for them. It’s a real problem. No matter how nice and polite you are to them. They don’t care. You have an engine. They don’t like that.

Right here in Lake Tahoe we have come together collectively to fight closures and organizations trying to remove access. I have several skiing and boarding friends that may or may not use a sled for access that are helping combat Winter Wildland Alliance's attemps at getting closure. Open minds lead to open conversations and create resolutions. Yes there are the ones that will settle for nothing less than total closure, but bridging a gap starts with every individual. Thank you Boondock Nation. This was a great produciton!
