@@tophan5146he used a racial slur (rhymes with sink) for Asians and it was found by a ridiculously self-titled "comedy reporter" or more correct description is useless human/snitch who brought the podcast to light that may have had 100 views before that. You know this person probably said, "As you ALL know I love comedy and have a great sense of humor but... blah blah blah insert self serving statement here! This person obviously went looking for anything to gain attention because he is a failed comedian in life. So the joke just has no context. All of it is being said with them mocking themselves because they are such idiots and even knowing it was wrong by referencing them telling someone in the story you can't say something in public. I mean it was wrong to say but if it was accompanied by all the Asian abuse from Covid at the time, it was just bad timing any other time he probably would have survived it! Comedy is not always going to be funny sometimes it falls flat and guess what the comedian knows that and it will reflect in ticket sales. Humor is subjective and when something is said without hate and only for the humor it should be taken with a grain of salt. I mean Carlin has a famous joke about the word grape (the G is silent just not trying to violate KZbins terms of service) proving ANYTHING can be funny. Yes, it may be wrong but if comedians never took risks you wouldn't be laughing ever. To summarize someone went searching through someone's HAHA JOKE shows with the intention of finding anything they could use to negatively affect him and they did as you will with ANY comic in the world! But, that all being said we wouldn't have these Gilly and Keeves skits or this special. Not being on SNL was the best thing for him long term. He also has the fact he was obviously funny he made the cut for SNL which really isn't that good of a show anyways! @@junior1388666 Definitely. Chappelle is great, but he's been more interested in Carlin-esque comedy symposiums. They're good, but they aren't entirely about being funny. Shane Gillis isn't making philosophical points, he's just fucking around.

First time watching his stand up, saw Shane on Joe Rogan, this is great 👍🏻

This really holds up, I listen to this all the time. Shane is the funniest person ever still 🤘🏽

This set is from top to bottom one of the best Ive ever seen. He sneaks jokes in everywhere, he didnt bomb at any one second, and in fact he crushed all 48 minutes start to finish. Shane has immediately cemented himself as a top stand up today and this special will not only got down as being one of the funniest ever but it'll age like wine.

I actually really appreciate him walking the line of bombing, or being unpopular, then bringing the crowd back on his side.

Except for when at 37:31 he says this year she beat heroin Covid etc. Not just 30 seconds ago he said she was clean for 2 years but some how she just beat it this year. Lmao. He needs to fix that.

Watch/listen to Sam Morril, Joe List, Mark Normand, Adrienne Iapalucci if you havent. I imagine you've already watched the big guys like Segura and CK's latest specials which are also great IMO. That said this special here is great. Already listened to Shane 3 times ha.

@@gabelogan56 I've watched, Joe List, Mark Normand, Segura and Ck's and I would say to me CK's was the best by far but this special was 2nd or 3rd. I have to check Sam and Adrienne though and thanks for the suggestions :)
