Gaming Confession: Final Fantasy IX is my favorite of the series and I've played through it many times. During my third play-through, my then-girlfriend (now my wife) was watching me play through the game for her first time. She had fallen in love with all the party members, especially Zidane. I made it to the end where Zidane stays behind while everyone else flies away and the scene with him fades to black. When the play started up in the epilogue she frantically asked, "Oh crap, is Zidane dead?!!!" I knew the truth, but all I said was, "Oh honey, I'm sorry." She started sobbing soon after, but when Zidane revealed himself she smacked me with a pillow so many times.

Gaming Confession - many years ago my copy of Lotr The Third Age got scratched and so I never got to play past the Rohan levels. There was a boy I knew who I wasn't really friends with, and wasn't going to his sleepover party until he told me he had a copy of the game. Then, when everyone else was asleep, I climbed onto the top bunk (where he was sleeping) to play PS2 and complete the game. That was a proper stealth mission!

Gaming confession: My buddy and me played Final Fantasy VII for hours one summer years and years ago, we even made it to the third disc and we felt the end coming. But what happened was: his parents broke up, the father took off and went to the other side of the country with both my friend and FFVII. This was heartbreaking, and I asked my dad for FFVII to have this one connection to him. So I played it, hours on hours and made it to the third disc once more. But I didn't have the heart to end it without my friend, so I locked it up and never played it again. Hopefully I've gotten over it by now, so I'm going to buy it when it's released again. I hope that the nostalgia wont hit me though...

Gaming confesion: when my best friend came to my house he used to play some skyrim. He would often ask me what fun quests there were for him to do and instead of telling him the truth I would lie to get him to play the quests I couldn't be bothered to do and get the achievements for them.

Not quite a gaming confession, but very similar. A while ago when Uncharted 3 first launched I got into what started as a discussion, but finished as an argument, about the etiquette of spoilers. As I (then) hadn't played Uncharted 2 or 3 we agreed not to say anything about U3, but my friend felt it was OK to spoil U2 even though he know I hadn't played it. That started an argument which ended (badly) when he said "well at least I didn't say..." at which point he spoiled U3 as well. End result being we got thrown out the pub and it was nearly a year before we spoke again.

Gaming Confession- I used to play the old Ratchet and Clank games in normal 3rd person until my friend told me I could play in lock strafe mode. I tried it out but was too stubborn to admit that it was better and always played in normal mode when he was around. Even now with the remake I still maintain that 3rd person is best while I truly love lock strafe to bits.

Before it came out I probably wasn't going to bother with Doom but on Friday morning I watched someone playing it for a few minutes on Twitch and that was enough for me to hop on my bike, zip into town and grab a copy. I'm so glad I did, I blitzed through the campaign over the weekend and now I'm straight back into it on a harder difficulty. Such great fun!

Gaming Confession - I recently purchased Sleeping Dogs Definitive edition on ps4 after seeing your video about the cool things you can do in it and started playing it a lot. My girlfriend was round one time and I had to do a karaoke mission. I told her that the speaker holes in the dualshock 4 were actually microphone holes and said she had to sing. She started singing along with the song like singstar and still believes it to this day. Haven't had the heart to tell her it was a joke.

Gaming Confessions (and one that probably a lot of people can relate to): I requested March 18th - 21st off work in anticipation for Uncharted 4, telling my boss that relatives were planning on visiting. I'm surprised he didn't grow suspicious each time I told him that my relatives had to move the dates (April 26th - 29th, May 10th - 13th), but in the end I was able to get the days off and finish the game, and he was none the wiser. I think.

Back in the PS1 era of gaming I could never finish any game I played, due to the fact that I lost my memory card and my parents didn't know which one I needed. In the second game i only used Riku to deflect the lasers at the end of the game needless to say i almost broke my triangle doing so , but what this did was enable myself to beat riku and finally see how riku and mickey trap themselves. The real confession is i tend to beat the sequel of games before i beat the first game another example of this was when i beat uncharted 2 then went on to beat 3 before back tracking all the way to uncharted drakes fortune .

But everytime i played i let him watch and told a lot of fun facts about Paris and the French Revolution (and honestly just played epicly cool) so when i finished the game he said he would give it a go. Once he started he was totally hooked and i was happy for him. Now, a couple of weeks later, i needed money and sold the game for a couple of bucks.
