Hey you guys are doing a awesome job. Bet you could learn to solder in no time. Try practicing a couple of times with a piece of pipe and fitting on the bench or table. First watch a video if needed you'll do great. Good luck with the remodel BTW the video was great.👍👍

I've been told that there were generally two reasons for lower shower ceilings, 1. the lower ceiling gave a more defined area for shower steam to condensate, and then drip back into the shower/bathtub. 2. The lower ceiling kept the warm air generated in the shower down where the person taking a shower was, overall leading to a warmer, more comfortable shower.
