Subjugated to Ethan? More the other way around. She did the dictating and he tried to make it work by letting her. She wanted to leave and sell the house and he later broke down and did it. No matter what he did in the long run he had to tip toe around her give in and she still left eventually . She got him started doing things for the first time like drinking and he went along to please her.

That in itself is the one of the reasons so many young women are alone and will probably remain that way. They need to talk to people with long marriages and ask them about commitment, communication, and dedication making the marriage work instead of flying off the handle at the slightest little thing cause life isn't perfect. My first wife died many years ago and was the best woman you could ever have. I remarried 20 years ago and have a good second marriage with give and take but she knows if she ever did the splitting up with me that Olivia did with Ethan don't come back I'm not having it. If she wants to leave for greener grass find but the gate to the pasture she left will permanently be closed. If you're going to be committed be so or move on down the road.

Besides, he's an able-bodied adult who profits massively from his (now ex-)wife's labor. He should cook for himself, clean after himself and do other house chores by himself. He's a man-child who only ever worked hard for his divorce and nothing else. He has no education, he's bad at adapting to new situations and learning skills, he can't even write a resumees to get a job in a new place (he had to travel across states just so he could at least work at the only job he's ever had, because no one else would hire him). Kim and Barry set him and his other older siblings Lydia, Moriah and Micah up for failure.

@@MieDesignedLife Olivia doesn’t want to take accountability for her behavior or her actions. She constantly deflects on everyone else and that’s a big problem. Don’t get me wrong there are times when Olivia has a valid reason to get upset with someone based upon their actions against her, but Olivia should also learn be an adult and once the other person is ready to sit down with her and apologize she needs to be the better person and just talk things over. She doesn’t have to remain in contact with that person but forgiving and moving forward is key to having closure in your life. Olivia holds a grudge and resentful feelings when she hates someone and she refuses to seek closure. She has a lot of issues. She is also calculated manipulator. Even Micah and Moriah admitted Olivia brainwashed them when they left the house the very first time and feed things to them to make them hate their parents. Ethan even confronted Olivia and told her: “Despite the fact I did everything you wanted me to do which is eliminate contact from my family, my actions were never enough you always wanted more.” Olivia is miserable among other things. She needs to seek professional help.
