Happened to me just yesterday. It was a very young start up, I was working for as a freelancer. I had actually brought the entire start up into existence, built all their web apps and we only lost one month of data. Quite recoverable, I think.

there's a possibility of recovering that 5 min data from the logging and monitoring tools like splunk and datadog even partially, I've done that in the past but for a different use case.

Bhaiya, mai 2023 btech cse passout hoon. On-campus placement hua tha mera. Phir May 2023 mein jab clg end hua, toh company ne bola ki December 2023 mein joining hogi kyonki market down hai. Phir December mein joining ke ek week pehle achanak se ek test le liya, aur usme mera selection nahi ho paya. Toh company ne offer letter revoke kar diya. Ab us company ke wait, ke chakkar mein 7-8 mahine ka gap aa gaya hai, college chhode huye. Ab kya karoon? Career kaise re-start karun ab?

11:41 Re-populate data from the 5 minute window of data loss => May be can get some data from logs saved for requests in monitoring services like sentry and New relic and recreate them in DB ?🤔

why can't dev make a JS library that user can import in .env or other valuable files and in case it got selected for deletion then user have to provide a KEY to confirm this operation. I mean that import library only have one job if it's syntax is present override the delete cmd.

Not that Im a devops guy or anything, arent there like safeguards to protect from accessing data or some sort of authorizations that is required to perform any kind of operation on the production database
