Putting my shampoo in an applicator bottle made it possible for me to not section and get my scalp clean. I still section to condition/detangle/style. A couple of years in and I’ve gotten down to 90 minutes, but that includes a medical shampoo and actual shower activities. I’m not pressed to get it down any further.

Likewise. I've seen some have been using the No. 3 as a conditioner, and when they get breakage they place the blame on Olaplex.

Using a shampoo brush or scalp massager solved the problem of scalp cleansing for me. I can't stand shampooing in sections and since I know I shouldn't use my nails on my scalp a scalp massager is perfect. My scalp gets clean and I stimulate blood flow to my scalp at the same time. Personally, I haven't had any problems with Olaplex. I've been using it for a couple of years. I mostly use No. 0 and 3, but I added the No. 4P when I ran out of my purple shampoo. I use 0 and 3 once or twice a month most times, but sometimes I'll skip a month or so depending on what my curls and coils are doing. As for the 4P, I just use it whenever my Mallen Streak seems dull.

Great video! My next wash day will be 3 weeks since using Olaplex & i’d say so far, so good🤷🏽♀️ I can’t tell a MAJOR difference yet, but I’m gonna keep using it & monitor my hair. I wash my hair at least once a week, so I’ll definitely know when something is off. Can’t lie, once that lawsuit came out (after I had already bought the kit) I was contemplating returning it, but I trusted your opinion and just like you said; many stylists and other consumers have said that it works well for their clients. Do let us know how no1 & no2 works in comparison to the no0 & no3!

I love Olaplex too, it’s the best product line I’ve ever used for my hair. I have damaged my hair with heat and I have a lot of breakage in between and have been using Olaplex for the past year. The breakage made it really difficult to manage my hair cos it tangled and matted my hair but with the help of Olaplex I’ve seen tremendous recovery in my bond build journey and the ease of my hair is simply unbelievable. No more tangles to struggle with for hours. Every Olaplex product works wonders for my hair and makes me look forward to wash days cos it’s simply easy, no struggle. I have 4C hair.

I used to use No 3 every so often, maybe once a month and never had any issue even when I did as an overnight treatment that I shampood out in the morning. No 8 was my immediate fav and I used this for quite some time until I noticed my salon had the Olaplex 4-in-1 Moisture Mask (salon only product from what i can tell). I bought it and loved it more than No 8 and have completely switched to using the 4-in-1. I no longer use No 3 cause I don't see a need for it. I bought a travel size No 4 and love it, so that one of my staple shampoos. I also have No 6, which I find is a really nice Leave-in that works well under the majority of my styling products. So my current Olaplex regimen consists of 5, 4-in-1 Mask and 6. For the upcoming Sephora sale, I might purchase Olaplex 7 - Bonding Oil just to give it a try while saving some coin.....or I might try the K18 oil. While Olaplex products aren't cheap, I feel like a little goes a long way with all of their products, which is definitely a plus!

I used to use Olaplex every other week also, and my hair shedding improved a lot. Ever since I stopped, I realized my hair has been breaking more. It's definitely a once in a while treatment and if you ACTUALLY have high porosity or damaged hair, it's great. That being said, it's still too pricey to justify the price for me. And I want to try alternatives before I go back. Anyways, great video! Your hair has been thriving with it!

I use Olaplex 0, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 because it makes my hair feel strong, soft, and smooth. I think the problem with many people is protein overload because they have high protein in other products and then use Olaplex too and it dried their hair our or broke it off but it wasn't specifically olaplex, it was cumulative

I bought applicator tops for all of my shampoo bottles. I squirt the shampoo all in my scalp and massage about 5 minutes before I even get in the shower. So all I have to do when I get in the shower is wet my hair, massage again, rinse and repeat. My scalp has been amazing since I started this. I have mid back length hair and I split my hair in 2 to wash.

The reason you’re hair might not feel stripped even when using a clarifying shampoo is because your hair is hydrated and healthy. Not that lesser quality products can’t make your hair feel stripped, but I’ve noticed that my hair feels better overall with any shampoo because it’s more hydrated and without crazy product buildup.

My hair is short but my hair texture is very kinky so shampooing in sections even when I try not too it’s just easier to do a section from ear to ear and then spilt the top in the middle and do 2 sides… A good wash day includes Mielle: rosemary mint shampoo and deep treatment…mixing the mask with the oil and bond builder #3 then Jell-O shot gel no leave in. I didn't know about the lawsuit until your video. My experience: I used Olaplex 3 & 0 for a month and after a few weeks noticed significantly less breakage (my natural hair is coarse, high porosity by nature and prone to brittleness, even with protein conditioner) I didn't make the connection that Olaplex was working until I went 2 weeks without it and the brittle hairs started back breaking off. Needless to say I went back to my Olaplex routine and recently added the No. 8 😄😄

I also clarify and double shampoo my hair every time I wash, but I typically only wash my hair once a week. Also, I definitely wash in sections- at least four, but the more the merrier haha. I can typically keep my wash and styling under an hour if I don’t deep condition or if my hair was in a stretched state before washing (cause that cuts the detangling time down drasticallyyyyy). I love styling my hair in a wash and go every so often, but I find that it takes more time/effort to detangle and keep moisturized. Out of curiosity, how did you teach yourself to really enjoy doing this process regularly? I feel like after a while I get tired and irritated

I'm huge olaplex fan and don't have anything against it. I recently tried the redken bionic line and it changed my life. I felt like my hair was shiner, curlier, and stronger than when I used olaplex. I had less fly aways with my wash go, and my hair didn't frizz up as fast before. The shampoo to the line is moisturizing and the conditioner felt like I used a hair mask. I mean amazing!!Try it and let me know what you think or a review on it.

@BrittanyMia Жыл бұрын
The products can be used as a stand alone service. So, using the No. 1 like I would use the No. 0 and the No. 2 like I would use the No. 3. Except with the number one, I would have to add water to the product in a separate container and not use a spray bottle. There are a few videos of stylists doing this on KZbin. For example, Olaplex UK has a video on it.
