I’m a new curly at 66 yo. I didn’t realize that I had curly hair. I just thought it was frizzy. So I had cropped it very short for 30 years. I had been growing it out just because I was tired of it short for all those years. I have natural silver/gray color and a curly friend advised me to try curly styling on it. I found your videos and they have helped me tremendously. Thanks. It has been quite an unexpected journey.

Me, too! Discovered what I thought was just frizzy, wavy hair all my life was actually curly! Grew out from a pixie (also for about 30yrs!) during Covid and discovered it was actually curly! It's a pretty gray and still thick at 73. Wish I had known all those years ago!

Which products made the most difference for you?? Thinking about buying a couple!
@snowflakes21518 күн бұрын
@ I liked all. Shampoo and conditioner were great. Cleansed well and moisturized well with a great scent. You can pick either the volumizing lotion or leave-in, they are similar so don’t need both. Root booster helps and the scent is amazing. Volume mousse is just okay, it leaves a residue but since I wash often that doesn’t bother me. I need a gel on top so you can skip if you want. I’d do shampoo, conditioner, either leave-in or volumizing lotion and root spray from the line with another Curlsmith gel to complete the routine. Hope this helps! I love Curlsmith!

I’m so surprised the curlsmith volume line didn’t work for you. I have very fine and 3a hair which always looks flat and will not hold a curl past a few days because it is too soft and both the leave in and mousse from that line have been holy grails for me! The texturizing it provides is what my hair needs to have more volume and hold

They sell the attachment separately on their website, you don't need to buy the new blow dryer (Edit: they also state the new diffuser is backwards compatible with the original blow dryer)
@maureenlevy20717 күн бұрын
@zaphie7857 Unfortunately, no they don't. If you look at the end of it, it's not even designed to fit in the original dryer. They sell it separately to replace the one that comes with the new dryer. Yes, you can buy the old diffuser that goes with the original dryer but I was referring to the new model Mell was discussing.
@AestheticNailsbyLin17 күн бұрын
@@maureenlevy207 It literary says on their website under the FQA: Yes. The Wave+Curl diffuser is compatible with previous Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryers. However, the Attachment learning feature will only work with Dyson Supersonic Nural™ machines.

My hairdresser (of 30 years!) told me that I had curly hair about 3 years ago. Who knows what took my slightly wavy hair over the edge to curly - menopause? hypothyroid? the whims of the universe? but I'm now enjoying my greying 3A curls so much! I have my own list of hits and misses. The biggest hit has been the Redken Acidic Bonding Curls shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in treatment. My hair feels stronger, healthier, softer, and curlier than ever. It's on the expensive side, but Redken regularly offers sets at reduced cost. I also love the Redken Hydrating Curl Cream and Sculpting Curl Gel. These products live up to their promise of 72-hour hold with no crunch, so my hair is touchable and still defined with only a mist of water and scrunch in the mornings. For a bit more hold and a curl pick-me-up, the Redken Refreshing Curl Mist will extend my curls to day 5. Would love to see your review of this product line.
