worry not, mudan. i must first send my most sincerest of apologise for the unprofessional outburst shared 2 moons ago. my initial distress has subsided, and i have now realised that there is more to life than a puny mandatory laugh. i had been so blinded by the light at the end of the tunnel, i had forgotten about the light from whence i came. it is not about a soulless laughter to check the box, one with no joy or meaning behind it. it's about the friends and memories we made along the way, the experiences shared together, both good and bad. so, let us put this grudge behind us and instead look ahead to the escapades you may encounter. perhaps there will be an event so gleeful, there will be no need to mention the "mandatory laugh". perhaps you may find yourself having so much fun, you may find yourself laughing without even thinking about it. i leave you my best wishes, mudan. ~bimmingham, 04/12/2024 tl;dr it's not that deep you can always laugh next time mwah ❤

The National Diet of Japan? Reminds me of attending Lutheran elementary school and the teacher told us of the Diet of Worms. The Diet of Worms of 1521 (German: Reichstag zu Worms) was an imperial diet (a formal deliberative assembly) of the Holy Roman Empire called by Emperor Charles V and conducted in the Imperial Free City of Worms. Martin Luther was summoned to the diet in order to renounce or reaffirm his views in response to a Papal bull of Pope Leo X. In answer to questioning, he defended these views and refused to recant them. At the end of the diet, the Emperor issued the Edict of Worms (Wormser Edikt), a decree which condemned Luther as "a notorious heretic" and banned citizens of the Empire from propagating his ideas. Have you tried the paid lounges above the Starbucks Shibuya? I believe they're 1650yen per hour, comes with a drink/snack and you can use the area for lounging, working, or reading and still get a good uninterrupted view of the crossing.
