This can help people to better understand how situations like this can be avoided. It’s not disrespectful. It’s a matter of consequence to neglectful behavior. We need to shock people back into reality. And if seeing stuff like this is what they need to understand that rules on the road exist for a reason, then so be it.

4:00 they weren't even at fault. Where was that? Was it a vehicle with amber-colored turning indicators? Is this intersection known for such accidents? A separate turning lane would be a great idea if that was the case
@user-wq9mw2xz3j6 ай бұрын
there is a reason why left lanes on country roads are considered the most dangerous. The truck behind was mostly, almost solely at fault, however maybe the car couldve slowed down and indicated earlier.
@memelox_17056 ай бұрын
The Kia van was at fault, the number one rule on freeways is that you DO NOT stop on the highway, he could’ve indicated very early on and slowly move down the speed, the bus behind him did not have enough time to think. The driver probably was zoned out and did not have the turn in mind and so when he remembered he snapped on the brakes not realising the huge speeding bus behind him. Tough luck in the end
@brkr786 ай бұрын
@@memelox_1705 I honestly have no idea how the rules of the road in the USA work, but in every EU country the one following another car has to do so in sufficient distance so he can avoid just that, even on freeways, highways, interstates, call em what you want. Because there can be a 1000 reasons why a car suddenly stopps, from technincal to human factors, from wildlife to being stupid - in all cases its the fault of the one driving into the vehicle in front - unless they just overtake and then slam the breaks, but that's difficult to prove without dashcams and isn't that common. And being "zoned out", especially when driving a truck, is a big, big, BIG nono - Next thing you know and he's swerving into oncomming traffic.
@theblitz68386 ай бұрын
It seriously depends on the situation indeed. You can't just come to a sudden stop in the middle of the road without using any indicators. In that case it could be seen as a break check because there's no way for a truck to stop on such a short distance. Dashcams are an absolute must. From what I could see, the white van just suddenly slammed it's brakes inorder to take the exit on the left while crossing a "double white line"? Or was it a single white line? It's hard too tell... I don't think what he/she tried to do is allowed on that particular strip of road.
@abnormaalz6 ай бұрын
It is the fault of the truck behind, but that doesn't matter when you're in that car. You can take steps to prevent this from happening yourself. 1. Tap the brakes slightly and early in advance. Your brake lights will come on, and this is an indicator to the car behind you that you are about to brake. Don't let your foot off the brake until you are making the turn. 2. DO NOT, absolutely NEVER, turn the steering wheel UNTIL the lane is you are crossing is CLEAR. If, for whatever reason, someone does crash into your rear, you will not be launched into the opposite lane but instead forward.

This video just proves how important it is to be patient when driving. Almost all of these could have been avoided had people just waited. And seriously, if you are driving on a single lane road, think three times before trying to pass someone. Always maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you, always wear a seatbelt, and it’s always better to miss a turn and be late than to turn at the last minute and end up in a driver’s ed video.
