You have done such a great job with your garden, it really is inspirational! I find with Sago Palms that if you put them in a greenhouse or a bright window throughout the Spring and water generously they will always put out new fronds👍. Brugmansia Charles Grimaldi would look great in your little paradise! Really informative videos too. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks very much! 🧡 Oh I’d love to do that with my sago but unfortunately I don’t have a greenhouse or any space for it in the house (already have around 150 houseplants 😆🌴) 🌺

Beautiful Hannah, we have a lot of wind here in Idaho, and so many plants really get banged around, and it is always a challenge to find just the right spot for a favorite plant, so far all of mine have been surviving the crazy winds. I always enjoy seeing your beautiful garden, it gives me such tropical vibes. I guess when I get my sunroom I will make a corner that has a small tiki bar area and put a lot of my larger plants in there and probably will get some more large plants. Take care, sending love and hugs, bye for now.

Your big leaves Caladium varieties are so nice. Couldn't find one as pretty this year, but I got one with medium/small leaves anyway to get some experience with them. Thanks for showing those extremely colorful ones. I didn't know they could be so gorgeous under grow lights. I'm always scared mine burns if I forget to pull it away from the window when the afternoon Sun shines through it hard for a few hours. Rest of the day the light isn't great unless it's right in the window frame.

I tried to over winter my ensete by dry storing in brown paper. It look terrible when I retrieved it from the bag. The bag had little black spiders on it. I tried putting it in some moist compost and perlite, no life after three weeks. I've sadly discarded it and will grow a new one thus year. Weather has been terrible. I've not planted out my crocosmia and it's probably too late now. Your garden looks fab.

I feel your pain about ordering plants that aren't what they turn out to be, I bought a Caladium Frog in a Blender from FG which I have been wanting for ages, after seven weeks it sadly turned out to be a different Caladium so I am quite frustrated about that but yours looks amazing, I will have to try again next year🙄👍🌴

Hello, your garden tours always cheer me up especially during this long uk winter. I too have a Gunnera Tinctoria in a 40cm pot and am torn between keeping it and discarding it as I really love the plant. May I ask, after obtaining permission, how did you burn it? Did you light a bonfire or use an incinerator? Apologies if this is a silly question. I just don't know what to do.
@TropicalPlantAddict3 жыл бұрын
I used a metal bin to burn it, also had some wood in there 🌿

@@TropicalPlantAddict Thank you for responding 🙂 My Gunnera seems to be the only plant growing at the moment with all this rain. I will keep for 2021 then see I feel next year. Many thanks🌴

I know it’s a shame but also kind of annoying because when I purchased it, the plant was labelled as manicata (which you can sell/give away if it gets too big unlike the Tinctoria). Yes I just mulch over my cannas for winter 🌿💚

@TropicalPlantAddict3 жыл бұрын
Yes I dry store mine. The first year I left in the living room but it grew massive and they are prone to spider mites so I prefer to chop back and dry store 🌿 I have a few videos on how I overwinter my garden plants (in tropical garden playlist)
