This is cool about how it seems that your intuition about the geometry saved a piano. This is another thing where you don't realize math is useful until you understand the math to know how it can be useful. Great video!

I think I always just ASSUMED the piano could always move and there was no minimum strap length, which made me never want to strap stuff down at all (without REALLY tightening it if I had to and being nervous the whole time). Knowing there's a minimum strap length is literally FREEING to me lol

There is actually an even easier way than the geometry one to find the minimum. Just strap it down and tug on it in both directions re-tightening as you go until you find the point where it stops moving ;) Great video, it's cool to know why it works rather than just knowing the answer from experience.

Thats a good Point and i never think about that so deep, but that explanes the rules we have here. First you need anti slip matts under the load or a way to stop the load from moving. Second the straps to hold down the load will higher the fricten and you need more of them if load is more pounds/kg (Sometimes you cant move the load and need to fix it not even...good if the load dont move then ;-) Greatz from Germany and have a nice Day opo
