This video tutorial will help Beginners of Accounting. Sometimes students get confused with DEBIT & CREDIT items. PEARLS is a superb mnemonic to remember debit and credit items in Accounting. This is very helpful for AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping transaction unit, IGCSE O level Accounting, A level accounting plus anyone who just started studying accounting at beginning level.

No, equipment is a non current asset which is bought to use in the business

Hey Ilias! I love your videos, but I seem to have a mental block regarding purchases (goods bought for resale) being debit items, and trade payables being credit items. Aren't purchases and trade payables the same thing? You are so awesome, I know you'll have an easy way of getting this into my brain! :D

Purchase of goods for resale purposes are your expense , and eventually when you sale these goods to customers, it becomes your income.

I didnt understand the part in which you say " If these go up its debit and if it goes down credit"..whats thats?what goes up and what goes down??plzz i need an explanation..

Items goes up or down in accounts. Such as when you buy an asset, it goes up. Same as when you sale, it goes down.
