Accucraft Decauville with Slomo Coal Wagon - 7/8ths Scale Live Steam

Accucraft 7/8ths Scale Live Steam Decauville... may be small but certainly has pulling power. The rear coal wagon contains a "slomo" inertia device as featured in some of my earlier videos. The other coal wagon contains a gas larger gas tank for longer running times.

So sorry for the (cough) very very late delay in replying... somehow missed this until just now when another viewer commented and that promoted me to open the video comments section. Anyway, regarding the low pressure a couple of things 1) These locos, once run-in, are quite capable of running at relatively low pressure and 2) Running higher pressure risks blowing the safety valve which consumes water and for a small boiler like on this loco you want to make sure that it does not waste any water. Is the slo mo coal wagon a custom build?

Yes, simple construction from scrap bits of wood and a spare wheel set.

Cool! Is the slow motion achieved with special gearing, weight, or both?

It has a gear and flywheel unit inside. They were sold to fit Roundhouse locos but this has been mounted in the wagon so that it can be pulled by any loco. Previously I used weights approx 1kg and that worked also. These are small but powerful locos.
