What an explanation, thans a lot mate. So how do you count for the Tempreture Effect in adiabatic compression/de compression
@bigbadtech Жыл бұрын
To scientifically account for temperature you'd have to use the Combined Gas Law: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHS9d4ugaJuVZtU In practice, the accumulator charging procedure often specifies it must occur over a specific length of time to ensure any temperature change is absorbed by the environment.

Hi Mr. Pytel , amazing lecture . So , I have a question . Accumulators can be used If we have a cylinder that needs 20 lpm and 200 bar of pressure at one action that lasts for a minute , and needs 200 lpm and 20 bar at another action for 6 seconds But it can't be used for an action with 200 lpm and 300 bar ..i mean the pressure can't be higher than the pressure of the dominant action , the action that lasts for longer time ,
@bigbadtech4 жыл бұрын
You would need an intensifier to do that.

@@bigbadtech do the sums/ qeustion problems coincide with the lecture material given in your KZbin videos. Yes, the study guides follow the lectures for the most part including example problems. Ideally you should be able to answer all the questions after watching the lecture. Funny, I keep telling my family that I'm a legend but they don't seem to agree.

Hi Jim! Great lecture!! Can accumulators set the discharge pressure? I'm trying to have a constant set pressure in the circuit and wonder if accumulators will do the trick. How do I design a circuit that all fluid goes into an accumulator first before flowing into a motor? The fluid seems to just bypass the accumulator and straight to the motor.

Hi sir... Pls help me? Pls give me a good answer.... Our machinery connected one accumulator 32 ltr nitrogen.. 330bar pressure. Bt now the pressure not maintaining.. Then the accumulator refilling and fixed.. Bt no use.. Hydrolic motor off.. Same time the pressure going to zero pressure... Mechinery work pressure level fix it 120... But running time the pressure is going up and down... 120... 50.. 0..110...50... 0..10.. 30.. 120..... Eny help.. N comment sir???? 🤔

So what are the differences between an accumulator and an expansion tank?
@bigbadtech6 жыл бұрын
They're kind of the same thing, however, an expansion tank is ordinarily small and purpose built to give expanding fluid space to fit inside a closed system. Ordinarily and you wouldn't use an expansion tank as an auxiliary source of hydraulic power.

I have never seen a spring loaded accumulator in 40+ years. I have seen one weighed accumulator in an aluminum plant. It was big. I could see the wight move up and down during the machine cycles. A problem I have come across is a lack of N2 at 3000PSI to charge accumulators in remote saw mills. I have never seen any flow controls between the accumulator and system except for a "dump" valve to dump pressure for safety. Accumulators are good for supplying oil when a servo system is rapidly accelerating because it takes many milliseconds for pumps to respond to the demand. I was writing this during the video. He finally gets to the dump valve. I recommend one takes into account the temperature while charging because that is usually done at ambient temperature but run time could be 130 degrees. I have put my hand on the accumulator during operation. I have never felt the accumulator heat up and down during a rapid cycle. I use a simulator to find the ∆V during a cycle. I recommend a high pre-charge for servo applications where the goal is to keep the pressure drop to only 10% of P2. A common problem I have seen is the accumulator precharge is too low. This causes the supply pressure to drop and this causes the open loop gain of the hydraulic actuator to drop too much.

Sir, thank you for these free resources. Can I suggest an improvement though? The slides are visually OK except for the pictures attached. The pictures and diagrams are unreadable even at 720p. There is a room for improvement.
