Thanks Lisa for this valuable lesson. I'm Gamini from Sri Lanka and know well by associating with native speakers that they sometimes use phrases instead of a single word to say something. For example, as mentioned in this video, when we say 'believe me', native speakers might say 'take my word for it'. So, learning these phrases is vital in order to understand native speakers.

Both Lisa and Drake -- your well-articulated presentation is very effective in learning expressions in English. People like us do have an understanding of the language from the formal education that we receive in schools and colleges. But we falter when it comes to regular day-to-day usage of the language as we do not converse in English with friends and family. It's only limited to our work life. Your lessons help us to overcome this shortcoming that people like us have. Thank you for sharing.

Drake seems to be a sweet guy with positive energy. He has had a unique and simple way to explain! I noticed that in Greece we use these expressions in almost the same way. It's like I translate it literally. I was surprised. Usually this doesn't happen with English expression translated into 🇬🇷Greek!
