I’m certainly no one special and left school at 16 to pursue my profession. These are basic words we were taught in primary school (under age 12 in the country I live in. High school is from age 12 to 18 (or 17 depending on the state you live in) I would have thought most people in English speaking countries know these words and incorporate them into their spoken or written communications. Not knocking anyone. I just think it’s odd that knowing these words means someone has excellent English. If English is your first language then your English _should_ be excellent!

These are easy verbs. What's difficult for so many English speakers are the verb tenses. Present tense is the same as the core word: i.e. go, I go to school. Past tense: go changes to "went." I went to school. Past Participle tense must have a helping verb in order to be used: gone, I have gone to school, "have" is the helping verb. ING tense: goING, must also have a helping verb, I am going to school, "am is the helping verb.

Hi, Ms Lisa! I was wondering: Have you ever made a video sharing your pragmatic/objective views on English proficiency exams such as IELTS and CELPIP? Have you done it? Are their formats, themes and evaluation process proper enough to determine one’s language skills in your opinion? Would you add anything to them or subtract anything from them, if you could? I’ve done CELPIP twice without preparing for it. My score went up 2 points on the second one. And both test results share something in common; my writing skill is better than all the other ones which got equal amount of points (score). I expected my writing to score higher than the other ones and I expected my reading to be better than my listening (a little bit of hearing loss) and my speaking (it takes me too long to brainstorm) but it didn’t happen that way. I’ll try the exam once again next year and I’ll try to prepare myself better for it. I guess I’ll have to take a look at your materials to get some inspiration and knowledge. ☺️

Whether one likes it or not, the baton will be in Trump’s hand in January. What I hope Trump will do is vet each and every immigrant entering the United States through the border. Many of them have never been properly vetted. The Border Patrol endorsed Trump, which is very interesting. The press, on the other hand-dare I say-was not very kind to him. I hope Trump will run his office well. Meanwhile, Elon and Vivek are likely to cover a lot of ground in their respective fields .
