to become fluent in speaking English has been always my biggest goal to achieve in life because it creates connections, amazing job opportunities, improves life and it helps boost confidence. one of the biggest key secrets to achieving the road to success is to immerse and expose yourself to the people who speaks the language on top of that is consistency and constant learning. I believe my English has improved dramatically and im proud of it. Thank you Lisa for telling us to also widen our knowledge on different topics. I heard about chatgpt but i never tried using it to learn English. I also need to drop some bad habits such as using social media frequently and reading comments in my language. Thank you Lisa these tips are incredibly helpful! May this new year brings you good health, wisdom, and success in all areas of your life.

Gracias for your lesson! Sorry, at 10:33 of the video, you stressed the acronym A. I. on the 1st syllable, I assume! Whereas, in one of your previous videos you discussed that "stress ought to be on the last syllable of any compound acronym!" Will you please elaborate on this? Thanks

This is the biggest point about being real fluent in English, many people think that learn a new language means to know literally everything about it, but no one can be good at all topics. For instance, in my job, many friends came to me with some English manuals to me and ask me questions about mechanics or how works a drone they just bought as if I could do in my native language, I don't master mechanics and have no dia how to operate a drone, but to those “friends” I seemed the dumbest person in the world, even after I explained that I don’t master those subjects in my own language, and I would have to spend extra time to understand those technical terms in the same way I have to do in my own language, in order to learn new jargons or words related to a specific field. Those things are really difficult to explain to someone who only speaks one language, many people have no idea how much effort is necessary to speak a foreign language, and be real fluent may sound an unachievable goal, but not as long as keeping practice learning and the most important USING new words every day. In this video, there are so many good ideas and infinite wisdom to new year’s resolutions, to literally start 2024 thriving.

1:22min - Is it a typo? Shouldn't it be 'think' instead of 'thing'? Accurate 99.999% as a real mortal man. May I use 'man' in general meaning as a human being referring to you in this case or the only grammatically acceptable, proper and polite option is woman? Excellent teachers like you Lisa keep me also motivated, because there is someone accurate and excellent in English who cares. Thanks a lot, Lisa.

I usually wouldn’t leave messages for a KZbin channel, but this time I want to do so for you, to express my total and heartfelt appreciation. The 8 tips you provided are cliché to some extent, but they are still useful and encouraging to me at this moment. I have also been motivated and admiring you for your thoughtfulness and warmness. I at this time chose to believe in you and maybe more importantly to believe in myself that I could make a difference and surprise myself after a year of efforts and engagement in English speaking practices. I was born and raised in America by that would be considered Greek heritage, in Christ time. I did pretty well in class when I was in high school being dyslexic was hard I don’t think they knew what it was then, just made it barely made it through high school and I was two years behind, would you believe I was going to fail the first grade and my teacher tutored me during the summer. But then I went to the second grade, and I did flunk, and then, when I got to the fifth grade, I spent two years in the fifth grade, so when I went to high school, I made it through my high school year but I graduated at 19 and two months later I turn 20. I was born in 1949. But to the point,I always thought in the past it was improper to use the word everybody shouldn’t it be nobody wants to do this to be proper, like I said, it’s been a while since I had my English class and you end up saying things that you hear everyone say

Hi, Lisa maam The problem is people who don't become fluent in English because they learn English as a second language typical traditional way is to translate in their head their native language in and apply it to English this is a boring way to learn they should learn English as a first language as they learned their native language at that time they can reach that fluency point exactly native English speakers learn language understand the language until you certain then you speak better understanding leads to confidence and confidence leads to speak not just go outside and speak naturally varied review is important to learn any languages thank you
