Nice work Jonas, really enjoyed (all 50mins) if this! I've been practising autos on the SIM and have a pretty good feel for it, but this video really helped me to understand the physics better. I'm definitely looking forward to doing this at the field (eventually!), thanks!

i downloaded the demo of this off steam and tried it in VR, and while it ran very smoothly the VR wasn't really 3d, it was a giant "imax" like projection. Are the 3d fields different? the demo just came with the "photo" field

unfortunately its impossible to do proper 3d with the photofields, the 3d fields do have true 3d though.

Meant to ask - do you worry about right-rudder taking too much main rotor headspeed during the auto?

There's no motor torque so there is almost zero difference in load between left and right tail in an auto. the only difference is that one way you are going with the main shaft rotation and the other with it so the only real difference is the drag of the main shaft bearings which is miniscule. (Ade)

Where is the documentation for this sim? I use RF and Phoenix but might like to try yours also. Don't know what radio/controller to use with it? Where are the specs?

why some helicopter's tails shake so bad?

thats generally a sign that your graphics settings are set too high for the specs of your computer, this upsets the physics which then causes the tail shake. drop a mail to [e-mail] if you require assistance
