Accurist MB451 watch

Hi, this is a review of the Accurist MB451 watch, in it we will go through the style features aswell as dimensions. This is a used watch about 15 to 20 years old, its a fully featured watch with functions controlled by a bottom dial and mode button, at the time Citizen watches also had the same layout and functions. I bought this watch new about 17 years ago roughly and its always worked fine, it is worn and the gold has come away in places but its still a lovely watch to own. +ged mcgaffin So do i, but with its age unfortunately it doesnt work that often now, new batteries never seem to last that long, but its done well.

Hi sorry i no longer have this watch as mine died, but if i remember it was the top left button to go in to set mode when the bottom dial shows time, then use the top right and bottom left to set the time. i think anyway.

So, this is a "dancing hands" piece like the Pulsar and Seiko's where the computer inside can move the hands independently to different modes? I do like the functionality of this one but these are pretty rare by the looks of things. My Pulsar V600 does a similar range of things but has the three main hands and one subdial and the bezel is the mode switch, very cool design imho and very informative video thank you :)

This was my second expensive watch a long time ago, well for me anyway costing over £150 at the time, it followed a Citizen dancing hands model that i had for about 10 years, never got a video of that though as youtube didnt exist then. I have reviewed another Citizen since that didnt work though, i am always on the look out for this movement in either a Citizen, Pulsar or Accurist, i have seen a few models with purple or deep red sub dials which i really want to get, but as you say they are rare now and finding a good one today is very very hard, due to them all being about 25 30 years old really. Your Pulsar sounds interesting though with a bezel controlling functions.

thanks for video , about the timer, does it chime after it finish counting?

Hi, yes it does on the countdown timer, you get a series of chimes when it finishes counting down.

@@rninnim thank you , planning to buy used one but unfortunatly the seller said a needle of the alarm is missing , i will try to find out whether it still chime on the timer .How long does the battery last ?

@@rubeushagrid7595 hmmm I wouldn't buy it if the needle is missing because it sounds like the function dial hand which would make it very hard to use, if you see the comments below my batteries didn't last long in the end and the watch failed, when it was new the battery would last 3 years or more.

How you can set hr on this watch?

You need to make sure the bottom dial marker is pointing to 0, then pull out the bottom right winder, then you can use the buttons to move the hands to set the hour and minute.

I have this movement but it won't do anything. new battery but still nothing. any advice?

bg563195 hi sorry no advice really, mine does the same it's had four batteries they last about a month then it starts to chime and dies. tried cleaning but nothing works so mines been in the not working bag for a year sorry.
