Citizen Watch Setting Instruction - C300

Special thank you for uploading this video and keeping it since 2014. Citizen Navihawk is my father's keepsake, who passed away in 2005. Although it still runs when a new battery is installed, the setting appears completely off. Although I could reset the watch (Citizen Navihawk C300 manuals on the Internet), the written instructions are confusing. The video is a lifesaver. This watch is amazingly complex and ahead of time twenty years ago. It would be a pity if thrown out or unused. Thank you.

Thank you so much! I just bought one of these, top dollar, new old stock, and the analog hands didn’t line up with the digital display. ‘Was worried there might be a defect, and the eBay seller wouldn’t take it back. I did the zero reset thing as you showed here, and everything’s good! Phew! 😮‍💨 Thanks!

THAN KYOU SO MUCH!!!! I have a USNavy Blue Angels for 8 years lost the booklet just got a new battery in. To reset the watch was a phone call from Citizen Allen TX by the name of Craig. Couldnt get it to set to DST NYC. Thanks to your video it is fixed!!!!

If like me, you had given up trying to set the watch, try the last few minutes of the video first and do a master reset and reset all the hands to zero. I think that part should be first and would help a lot of people.

@@cheesingiron3145 Yes i spent half an hour replaying the first half of the video, before i came across the master reset.....at the end!

​@@flybobbie1449 Turns out the bottom chronograph was misaligned the entire time for the watch i was working on and i was in 'SET' not 'TME' wasting almost 2 hours. But regardless, thanks a ton for dropping the comment mate.

Many thanks. I was really on the way to throw this watch out the window. Have the same movement but the watch it's called "Champion" could not find any instructions for it but opening up the casing i found the movement and realized it was the same as in the Citizen. The indicators were totally of - now it's working fine

Hello, i have one C300 caliber watch exactly like this one. After one year in a watch box i recently change the batteries. The problem is that it seems that i cant reset it properly. Instead of appearing 0000 everywhere and UTC, there is 00j0 and ITC (apparently some marks are missing). Did i do something wrong or the watch electronics is it going down? Thank you for your help.

My Citizen Navihawk, when reset, shows 8880 or some random numbers, not 0000 (it didn't flash as the manual suggested even immediately after a new battery was installed). I just persisted to complete the set up steps and the watch seems to respond to the rest of set up procedure and keeps time correctly. Hope yours would work as well.

You can get a manual online. Any jewelry or watch store can change your battery.

+ronald holmes You have pause function of the video, and you can watch the video several times as well. Not everyone is Mozart who can retain entire music score by seeing it once.

I have the opposite problem. But, for UTC, move the mode to "CHR" Pull Tab from M Button Press A and C button to move UTC to 12:00
