It looks like they left most of what zonic said to BOROS but edited Snappi, Magisk and maden criticising him specifically about his mouse out. Can understand why but it obviously makes it trickier for people to know what is being referenced. Check out MnmzzzCS's twitter for some of the stuff edited out.

I played just Semi-pro hockey at 16 way back in 1975 - we even played against the American Olympic team who beat the Russians (they thrashed us). Why is this relevant? Because my coach used to watch me play during the game and kept a notebook of my shortcomings as a goalie. Then in practice we would work on those things at the end when I was tired - this would make me have GOOD habit and wasn't bullying - it was PROFESSIONALISM. If you are getting paid - you do as the coach and organization says - or you find another job.

The (french) coach, Ozstrik3r, that was at falcons when they transitioned from a french Lineup to an international one, with Boros, talked about him when they Had NBK, Bodyy, launX, MHL and Boros, just before Zonix took over in an interview. It is the same things: he was constantly late for practice, didn't play games with his teammates, when the coach explicitely asked them to (apparently, no-one did, but thats another thing). He didn't take notes during strat time, taking his phone out instead... But he was at the time the highest paid in the team, and did lots of media stuff during the Saudi Gamers8 tournament. All of this was not new when the teams talks to Boros at the Rmr, this guy has had 8 second chances given to him, at some point it has to stop

That rant about Boros forgetting his gear bizarrely reminded me of Paul Scholes coming out of retirement. Legendary footballer gets convinced to come back, walks into a JJB and buys some £50 boots for the Manchester Derby. Zero fucks given, just needs to make sure he's got his end covered. If he called Nike they would have shipped him a dozen premium boots for free. Boros was given everything on a platter with Falcons and failed the minimum requirements. It's mind boggling.

I have a real gut feeling that Boros felt he was untouchable. Because he was the Middle-Eastern star on Falcons and therefore was the only piece that would never change.. either that or he just wanted out. And of course, a lot of people are thinking that there were no steps to get tot his point... Thorin is ON POINT when he says this was the straw the broke the camel's back.

Apparently I watched the edited version without knowing and saw the footage that was cut afterwards. I expected the video to be a lot worse based on peoples reaction on HLTV forums and twitter, however, I did get the feeling while watching that they threw boros under the bus with this video seeing as they had already benched him after the RMR. I have no issue with what was said in the video, I just don't understand what was the point of showing this to the public? Can't just be for "transparency" because what about player integrity? In my opinion this video made Falcons look like utter fools.

This video kind of made me reflect on the journey I've had in my life up to this point: I mean that's the thing, professionalism sadly nowadays is a skill that is acquired, with the current situation of the internet having kids below the age 18, not understanding what even a proper job is, yeah makes sense why a video game community supports Boros and calling out the literal Godfathers and mentors of Danish CS. Like I think most of these people who are being serious in supporting Boros has never been in a mentorship, or in any serious competition, academia is not the same thing, because the people I talk to about this issue who play cs are split, there are people who have been beaten down at their jobs, line of work or field because they know have to preform, do better or improve to stay on. The other half, still in Uni possibly, doing jobs anyone can do or just are aimless in life. Honestly, people who support Boros in this situation are bound to fail, the greats in anything aren't there through talent and kind teaching. Hard work, some people have the mentality already, but to be further ahead they need to be pushed and take the criticism like a champ. Everyone got beaten down to the ground, MJ at UNC, Gordon Ramsay with Marco Pierre White, all these greats went through the test of fire, embraced it, and succeeded. Competitive gaming showed me how life is, I take the criticism and move on. When I was younger I put the blame on others, one day in HS, one of my long time friends went pro Indonesian CS, getting picked up by a prestigious academy team, I was once better than him and could've been better but I blamed everyone around me and was lazy, isolating me from the scene. I realized at that moment I took for granted the people who wanted to help me. I may have lost that opportunity to play pro CS, but I never took those opportunities for granted ever again. Got my shit straight with grades and academia, other demanding hobbies like cooking and playing music, if I ever got to opportunity to learn from better people I took it. From the late Kobe Bryant: "I can’t relate to lazy people. We don’t speak the same language. I don’t understand you. I don’t WANT to understand you."

A lot of people are freaking out over nothing. Okay did they all criticise BOROS? Yes. But these are eSports players, this is their job and to be honest he changed a fundamental part of his gear that would change his performance just prior to the most important tournament of the year. It's like changing your bat in Cricket or your boots in Football, you need time to adjust and I don't think he gave enough time and he should be criticised for it as a player. The guys criticising him too, like Zonic, Magisk and even Snappi are winners, he should heed their advice. I will say though they probably just needed one guy to say it like zonic and they didn't need to dog-pile him in a team meeting, it just feels then like the whole team is against you rather than constructive criticism from the coach or the leaders trying to help you. Regardless, I think that the community is making it seem worse than it is.

Thorin’s point is just common sense, “locker room” talk is never meant to be soft because all the people involved rely on one another, their livelihood and reputation are at stake. That’s just how it happens in every sport really, that’s precisely why professional athletes have developed a wooden language to address speculations publicly, cuz most of the stuff they talk couldn’t be made public without generating a shitstorm. On a side note, there is one angle i didn’t see get mentioned on the k0nfig malta topic, which is being referenced in this video, namely i don’t get why people never discussed why the astralis members were at the club that night to begin with (they had just lost the epl playoff spot in the last game against their rivals heroic). What was the point of going out, there was nothing to celebrate and they were flying out next day anyway. Couldn’t they just go out and get hammered on their own time ? I'm 50/50 on this. BOROS acted incredibly unprofessionally and has a lot of issues he needs to work on. That said, some of your takes on this Thorin are whack. If you're gonna talk about professionalism and talk about the flaws of BOROS in this regard, you can't excuse the unprofessionalism from Zonic and the other players. As in, the hostility and resentment is not understandable at all. These are PROFESSIONAL players and a coach. You get paid as a professional athlete to play with whoever your GM or org signs. You get paid as a coach, to COACH whoever your GM or org signs. Any personal bias you have before this relationship begins needs to be left at the door. If you in any way hold resentment or are actively hostile towards a teammate simply because you wanted to play with someone else, you're being unprofessional. We can only speculate, but anyone who has been in a team environment like this before, knows it leads to nothing positive and that blame can only be laid on the players and Zonic for creating that environment to begin with. Quoting Monte is also a bit wild considering they've not even got close to the peak they had with BOROS. Surely, if he was such a negative influence on that team, you'd expect them to be better now. Either way, hopefully this works out for both parties. In an ideal world, Falcons will get a player they actually respect and want in the team and BOROS will realize he needs to get his shit together and be a better teammate inside and outside of the game.
@friendscallmeap
@friendscallmeap 9 ай бұрын
First of all, Monte peaked at top 11 with Boros, after he left they broke into top10 and peaked at top 6. They did slide down in CS2, partially due to the sickness issues within the roster, also it is a new game. In regards to Falcons situation, Boros has done enough himself to fuck it up. You can't paint a picture of 'well, all of that happened because they didn't like him' for a supposed professional. The supposed unprofessionalism of Falcons doesn't excuse the confimed unprofessionalism of Boros. Per your description 'unprofessionalism from Zonic and the other players', what are you on about? They put him in the good positions, they coached him in and outside of the server. They did what they were supposed to do 'even if they didn't like him or had resentment towards him'. That's what professionalism is. Meanwhile Boros is late to the practice and doesn't even have his equipment and setup ready for the match.

Yeah, if you consider HLTV ranking which is easily manipulated as "peaking" fair enough. Monte was grinding CCT cups, Roobet, ESL Challengers and other tier 2/3 tournaments. It's not surprising their ranking went up, but do you really think they are a better team? When it really matters (Blast, Kato, the RMR) they shit the bed (5-8th at Blast, 9-12th at Kato, 12-14th in the RMR). Even with the caveat on sdy being sick for the RMR, those are inexcusable performances. What unprofessionalism am I citing? I'm citing Thorin talking about it being understandable for them to have some resentment and hostility towards BOROS before the project even started since he wasn't the player they wanted to play with. That is unprofessional. You're getting paid to play with whoever the org puts on your team, this isn't 2015 anymore. If you're gonna bitch about not having the teammate you want, go be like Twist and fade into obscurity in tier 4/5 playing with your friends. @@friendscallmeap

You yourself won't have to deal with such troublesome scenarios in life, just keep away from anything top-1% related, or you'll soon start to experience the human race at its most fierce and egotistical self. Being a spectator has its pros too though. You get to feel like you understand every part of something while not doing so in the slightest... COLLECTIVELY WITH ALL YOUR FRIENDS🥳

Please fix your mic Thorin, it's peaking constantly and it sounds like absolute ass. Drop the gain down by 5db and it'd be so much better.
