Johnny Archer came to the Villages in Fla. and the gave out 3 tickets for $20 each to play him one game of 9-ball. He was a pure gentleman, and said I will rack them for you and let you break. I broke and made a ball on the break and then ran 5 more. I didn't have a great shot so I played him safe, he tried to play me safe and I got out. The next day Phil Diangelo called me and said, I know you don't buy the newspaper but you better get one today, your picture is on the front page of the Daily News, with the caption-Ron Cerelli (The Legend) gets out and beats Johnny Archer. wow, what a fabulous experience. Thank you Johnny for being such a gentleman.

I came here to watch two great players shoot a game. Instead we actually have 3 games to further confuse and confound. We have Billy's game, and Grady's game, and we get to hear their endless kibitzing and bickering instead of respecting the video audience who tuned in to enjoy the ONE game that is advertised. Why not ERASE the sound track and all their bullshit and just have one able person commentate on what Efren and Johnny are DOING...Not what the commentator thinks they SHOULD be doing...

When the expo was over Phil sold 3 tickets for $20 each to play Johnny Archer one game of 9-ball. 2 guys went up and lost and Phil said ticker # 513. I gasped cause I had that ticket. Phil said Johnny we know you are in the world hall of fame and you are a legend, but we have a legend here in the Villages and he is Ron Cerelli The Legend, so Johnny said you can break Ron. I did and made a ball on the break, then proceeded to make 5 more. I had long rail shot from the front rail to the back rail. There were about 200 people in the bleachers and I almost tried the shot but I thought , there are a lot of my students in the audience so I played safe. Johnny tried to play me safe back, but he didn't and I got out. He was such a gentleman, congratulated me, wow was I shaking. The next day the Daily Sun newspaper had my picture on the cover and it said The Legend beats a legend. I will never forget how great I felt.-Ron Cerelli The Legend

Efren turned out to be the greatest pool player of all time. Somehow he managed it without having the strongest break in the world. So I guess the commentator was talking out of his ass. The other commentator, responding to his professorial colleague, rightly remarked at one point that "I'm not qualified to be Efren's coach."

@@TerryWilsonModels I'm only considering the content of what was said in relation to certain facts. As already stated, Efren turned out to be the greatest ever without the strongest break. That goes against the drift (or logic) of what the professor said. I don't care who this professor is; that's irrelevant. All that's relevant here is the professor's inaccuracy, which requires correction. Accomplished people are not infallible. Just because they're accomplished, as this professor is, it doesn't mean we should give them a pass for the faulty things they do or say.

@@yacovmitchenko1490 and I’m commenting on your complete lack of respect. You can say someone is wrong without being condescending and insulting. He did turn out to be wrong. But it’s opinion not fact.

@@TerryWilsonModels I apologize for that. I know I need to curb that tendency. In part, I reacted that way because he seemed to be condescending. Which rubbed me the wrong way. But that's ironic because I can be that way too.
