Love that he cared enough to leave us a montage at the end no cap Edit plot twist- he sneakily did that to bring more customers to his channel to increase his revenue on videos watched. Economics is everywhere.

I absolutely love this channel! It's definitely made me much more interested in economics since the start of this and has made it much easier to learn. My awesome AP micro teacher, James Redelshiemer (Mr. Clifford knows him), recommended this channel to our class and it's been fantastic. We use the ultimate review packet for all of our lessons and it's so good. Keep making these!

These videos helped me get two 5's on AP Macro & Micro back in 2015. If I had to take those classes in college it would have cost me over $8k. Not a bad $180 investment to pay for each AP test. Thanks Mr. Clifford!!

You should do a video on Michael Keaton's movie, "The founder." There's a lot more economic circumstances that could help people learn about those topics since it's about running a business. Love your content btw. I've learned a lot from your channel.

hi Jacob, your video just popped up as recommendation. I watched it and it reminds me that you and your videos were very helpful to me. I graduated college in 2017 and recently took the CFA lvl1 exam and now as I watched this video I kinda regretted that I totally forgot to revisit your videos and if I did, I would have saved some time on studying for the economics section lol. Thank you for all the good works and I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday!

Hi Jacob, Great video, as always. I just want to point that the example of price discrimination that you use does not make much sense to me. In most cases, the price of flight tickets are different because they are purchased at different points in time. As you indicated, the earlier we purchase them, the cheaper they are. And yet this is not price discrimination. The prices are different simply because the demand changes over time. In particular, it tends to increase and become more price-inelastic as we get closer to the flight day. In other words, there are different prices simply because the equilibrium price changes over time as we get closer to the flight day. Thanks again for all your great resources and have a good day. Sylvain

but if the prices are so high for a particular necessity that a average person can't buy even if they need it the most, that wouldn't be a fair allocation of resources. What I mean is your necessity for a resource does not always depend on the price that you can pay, because it can be well beyond your budget.
@JacobAClifford3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. When economists talk about efficiency they refer to resources being used wisely, not necessarily fairness. Whether or not a price is "fair" is debatable. That siad, the price of true necessities (food, water, clothes, and shelter) are relatively cheap and have competitive markets.
