I actually thought they would go into the back of the neck to do the surgery. I never knew they would in front of the neck till now.

How is mobility of the neck afterwards? Is it difficult to have range of motion

better off, to do artificial disc at this point.. but stupid US laws, will not allow multiple levels to be fused. So, a lot of multi-level artificial disc patients need to fly out to another country to have this procedure done.. it's truly sad.. I wouldn't opt for this multiple level fusion. I would definitely go with artificial disc.. my wife had this done and is happy.. but in the US, they can only do 1 level at a time.. they cannot do more than 1, then they wait for the next level to go bad, then back into surgery.. truly sad.

@@jtdefense1506 My discs are too soft for artificial disc replacement. Have to have 3 level fusion.

They do more than 1 at a time…I just had a 3 lvl surgery 6 months ago. Still recovering.

Why 2 cuts?

not enough room to move tools around.. they need to do 2 cuts to work on multiple levels.
