Seems like AC3 is the only Ace Combat game with realistic physics, even if the plane is controlled by AI. Trigger is a human and he just casually pulled 250 G’s in the Darkstar.

This always annoyed me after playing Zero. Ace Combat 6 absolutely holds your hands for taking off and landing, going so far as to snap your plane up 45° in pitch once you hit a certain speed. This behaviour made its way into 7 as well, as seen prominently on the Carrier takeoff.

AC3 also had the Remora launch sequence where you were strapped under a bomber wing

The launch sequence of the AC3 (blackbird?) Sure is unique ,since it is one of the one off missions plane in the game but in 7 the Darkstar was just thrown into the game as collab dlc and not part of the lore ,it's a shame that in later AC games there's not a single one off mission plane

AC3 is intimidating. Any special sequence has this build up leading to the event. The music gave that aspect more character. The new games do not and can never have that. The entire AC3 was like a special one off mission.

The dark star is the only plane that can’t do a carrier takeoff, so I wouldn’t worry about that.

AC3 and AC04 are the only two Ace Combats that really gives me the feeling of flying and fighting in stratosphere.

Fun fact: AC3 is the only Ace Combat game that feature multiple battleskies: Regular atmosphere, Stratosphere, Space, even Electrosphere.

I love that they added the Darkstar as TopGun promotional content, but it's just too broken a plan for multiplayer it just ruins the fun. If its turning circle was really long like the Blackbird, then it would be more interesting in multiplayer.

The RF-12A2 feels nice and heavy for an interceptor.. a pain in the backside for the missions where we flew in her but still.. she's how an aircraft should feel..
