Honestly glad you included the ASF-X Shinden II in this because fun fact: the Shinden II was designed by Shoji Kawamori, the original creator of the Macross series.

Yeah I included it only for that reason. Otherwise I would've used the Su-47 Berkut using the YF-19 skin because they relatively look more similar to each other.

For point of reference here, the original Skull-01 was based off the paint scheme for US Navy Squadron VF-84 known as “ The Jolly Rodgers” their identification marking was an all black tailfin with the skull and crossbones

@@debbidonosenshi Until mid-last year, Harmony Gold held all rights to Macross in the west through some legal black magic. Because they had created essentially a separate brand for Macross (with its own story) AND held the distribution rights, no Macross content could be published at all over here. To be fair, Macross has always been a licensing disaster due to its music, so it's unlikely we'll see any western releases soon, but they started putting English subs in all their box sets even before the court ruling so they know they have their fanbase here. Edit: By the by, since you're collecting valks, do you have time to talk about our Lord and Savior the YF-29 Durandal?

@@ziggystardink9389 I'm rather indifferent to a dub honestly. Again, mostly because they'd have to license all the music and/or create dubbed versions of the songs. There's nothing wrong with the original dub imo. Then again I'm a proud owner of Macross 30 - and I didn't mind playing through it all in Japanese. Likewise, I had the 2nd Delta movie on pre-order and I've been watching it on repeat all week.

Makes that hard if it is in Japanese. I actually dont care if the songs are in Japanese. But i do know that alot of people hate Dubs.

But will never happen cos Macross games can't be released outside of Japan thanks to Harmony Gold, which owns Robotech, a chimera of 3 different anime including Macross. It's also why Macross doesn't show up in stuff like Super Robot Wars. Tragic loss to the fandom.

Well, according to the Macross lore the VF-1S Valkyrie was based on the VF-0 Phoenix and the VF-0 Phoenix was based on the F-14++ Super Tomcat/Kai Tomcat which was in service with the UN Spacy during the height of the unification wars.

Latest Macross game i know is Macross 30 for the PS3. Awesome crossover of all Macross series up til then. Pretty sure guys from Project Aces helped out. I wonder if that's where this modder pulled these sweet models from. But the resolution is amazing here. The work to adapt the models looks insane. I own this game on PS4 so i can't use mods and can't experience this for myself. Need to save up for a decent gaming pc. I wonder if the ps4 can be modded.
